[Nian cosplay] Sharing the Joy of Winning Rock-Paper-Scissors at the Tsinghua University Campus Recruitment Event

Arriving early combined with good luck, I won a game of rock-paper-scissors against an assistant and secured priority photoshoot rights, which became the prerequisite for this set of photos. Standing in the lecture hall of Tsinghua University in an Arknights Nian cosplay costume was honestly quite eye-catching; since it was a Campus recruitment info session organized by Hypergryph, people bustling around included not only students but also many staff members.

The colors of this outfit are predominantly red, white, and black; the crimson gloves and patterns on the coat have a strong design aesthetic, and the white hair with pointed ears is instantly recognizable. Coordinated with the overall yellow tone of the info session venue, the whole gear looked very bright. However, walking around the venue in this outfit was genuinely tiring because the clothes are relatively heavy, and I had to constantly hold up that plush toy and photo frame. Precisely because I arrived early, I managed to secure a great spot before it got crowded.

What many fear most at conventions or events is harsh, unflattering lighting. The lighting on-site this time was indeed tricky—overhead spotlights shining directly down not only caused overexposure easily, but also cast strange shadows across the face. Originally, I didn't hold high hopes for the raw shots, but unexpectedly, the official photographer's skills were truly remarkable. They managed highlight suppression and shadow fill exceptionally well, producing sharp, textured raw photos in such a harsh environment with great skin tone reproduction and complete detail preservation.

This session was the Tsinghua University special stop for the Class of 2025 Campus recruitment. The organizers prepared fun interactive segments such as check-ins, stamp collecting, and lucky draws, creating an amazing atmosphere. Although standing outside was a bit tiring, the whole process was a blast. As for being 'broad-minded' mentioned in the post, I simply feel that cosplaying in such a university setting is a cross-boundary cultural exchange in itself—there's no need to fuss over how others look at you, having fun yourself is what matters most. I love that feeling of being immersed in character; while the fabric has some reflectivity, it actually looked great in dim light.

What impressed me most about this event was winning that round of rock-paper-scissors, which granted me the priority privilege to shoot first. Being able to participate in an offline campus info session like this while cosplaying a character I love is a rare and precious experience. Wearing this outfit requires careful attention to posture: due to the large amount of white fabric, large movements must be avoided to prevent wrinkling, but thankfully the final shots turned out quite nice. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and if given the chance next time, I'd love to visit such youthful venues again to soak in this special offline interactive vibe.
