[Reimu Hakurei Cosplay] Touhou Project's Shrine Maiden, Radiating Vitality Under the Vermilion Torii Gate - Image 1

I put a lot of work into this Reimu Hakurei Cosplay gear, from the wig to the accessories, especially that oversized Gohei and the layered red ruffled skirt hem. Every time I turned, I had to be careful with the angle to avoid stepping on the long tied cords. For the shoot, we chose this scene with the vermilion torii gate and stone steps. The contrast between the red and white color scheme and the natural green plants looks amazing in photos.

The weather was fantastic; natural light spilled over the white cuffs and red bow tie, delivering a great texture. To restore Reimu's casual yet agile vibe, we intentionally designed dynamic poses like a sideways glance back and swinging the Gohei. It looks effortless but actually demands high muscle control.

The post-processing mainly preserved the natural transition of light and shadow without excessive skin smoothing, keeping the fabric textures and headpiece details clearer. As a tribute to a classic Touhou Project character, I'm very happy to have completed this creation out in nature for this piece of Outdoor photography. Although the shooting process required constantly adjusting my movements to match the direction of the wind, seeing those little moments filled with vitality in the final photos made everything completely worth it for this Anime cosplay of a Japanese style shrine maiden.
