Sharing the first batch of convention photos from Taiwan FF45! The weather that day was genuinely scorching—so hot that standing outdoors for ten minutes meant rushing to the shade just to catch a breath. The fabric of this white bridal gown is quite thick with rigid interior boning, making it completely airtight. Combined with the back zipper, sweat had nowhere to escape. The metallic black chains were custom-weighted; hanging across my neck and collarbones, they grew burning hot under the high temperature. With all the sweating, the outfit kept sticking to my skin, requiring constant adjustments.
The wig was a thick, short blonde style paired with a bridal veil. While the visual impact was fantastic, keeping it trapped on my head for hours was truly uncomfortable, and sweat dripping into my eyes stung, though thankfully the makeup artist did a stellar job setting the makeup so my green contact lenses remained clear.
The heaviest piece was that greatsword. It looked magnificent to wield, but its weight was no joke—holding it across various angles left my arms aching while still having to manage facial expressions, proving to be a real test of stamina. The sword and the garment edges showed rich textures, and the reflective highlights were captured beautifully on camera.
The photography crew this time consisted of Nieyuan, Lele, and Hanshan. Their candid capture speed was exceptionally fast, nailing optimal angles within a single sequence of movements. We first shot a cool-toned set near the tree roots with moody, deep shadows, and then moved to a sunlit area for warm-toned shots where the dappled light filtering through the leaves looked gorgeous.
In such stifling heat, everyone was exhausted, especially since wearing such an airtight outfit felt like being in a sauna. Yet the photographers remained thoroughly professional, continuously guiding poses and scouting angles. Because the heat caused the fabric to wrinkle easily, we had to smooth down the dress every few frames.
Overall, the shooting process was quite grueling. To keep the dress pristine and white, friends brought wet wipes to help blot away my sweat so it wouldn't stain the veil. Though tough, suffering a little to do justice to a beloved character was totally worth it. I am very pleased with the final contrast and commanding presence, and I am deeply grateful to all the friends on-site who helped out.
