To catch the early bus and travel out of town for this official Altria cosplay photoshoot, I truly gave it my all today. I dragged myself out of bed at six or seven in the morning to do my makeup and hair, struggled through nearly two hours of commuting, only to find out upon arrival that the venue we booked beforehand wouldn't open until noon. To keep up with the schedule, I just got fully dressed ahead of time and waited by the roadside and in the studio on an empty stomach. I didn't even have a chance to drink a sip of water until past two in the afternoon. That feeling of low blood sugar, starving to the point where my stomach was producing acid and making me nauseous, was pure torture.

Before this, I had done a lot of research on the details of this blue dress cosplay. The loop of black lace embroidery around the neckline, along with the fine silver sequins scattered across the large area of black mesh on the chest, has a handmade texture that really tests the tailor's skills. I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out on me. The wig took several revisions to adjust; that iconic ahoge on top of the head absolutely had to stand upright, so I secured it with setting spray and hairpins for a long time, terrified it would collapse from any bumps during transit. To match the character's gaze, I specially chose cyan-green colored contact lenses, paired with eyeliner to elongate the outer corners of my eyes, giving the overall makeup a cooler anime-style look.

The few photos shared here are the previews and behind-the-scenes clips that I'm personally quite pleased with. Picture one and picture two were snapped casually in the car on the way to the shooting location—no professional lighting, no post-production effects, focusing purely on an authentic state. They let everyone see my most down-to-earth appearance under the heavy wig and makeup. Pictures three and four, on the other hand, were official photos shot after arriving at the pre-booked photo studio, where I sat on a purple plush carpet holding the prop sword. The setting featured a classic European wine-red sofa and a gorgeous crystal chandelier. Once the atmosphere kicked in, even though I was starving, sitting there made me unconsciously immerse into the character's temperament—especially when handling that white-and-gold long sword in my hands, my movements felt much more composed, carrying a completely different weight compared to casual convention photos.

To be honest, doing cosplay is truly not as simple as just putting on a piece of clothing. The early-stage preparation, the travel exhaustion, and the physical exertion it involves are all a massive test of willpower. Although I am completely drained today, seeing the colors and textures of the initial raw images in the camera instantly makes me feel that all the previous hardships were worth it. Sharing a few lifestyle behind-the-scenes tidbits as a way to document today's slightly disheveled but passion-filled journey.
