This set of photos featuring Nilou's Default skin is a Convention photo captured on-site at the Fan Content Festival anime convention by photographer DW. The lighting at the convention was chaotic, so shooting primarily relied on wide-aperture snapshots combined with stopping down overhead and rim backlighting to carve out the subject's silhouette—especially the sheer translucence of the crimson hair and the tri-color blue, white, and gold costume under intense light. The design of her Default skin has always been exceptionally intricate, especially the layered white tulle and sheer chiffon sleeves, along with the water-ripple motifs and beaded fringe along the skirt hem—materials that are notoriously difficult to maintain. To preserve both the snug tailoring and the ethereal flow of the garment, I not only had to control my movements, but constantly adjust the direction of the flowing hemline throughout the shoot.

For poses, I selected several dance pauses, including kneeling on one knee looking upward, as well as a torso-twisting freeze-frame. The kneeling set cleanly showcased my leg contours and golden heeled sandals, which, paired with the sweeping arc of the long crimson ponytail in midair, lent intense dramatic tension; extending my arms upward was coordinated to complement the flared silhouette of the skirt. The chief challenge of capturing a Convention photo at a convention lies in visual clutter and muggy heat; perspiration during these movement sequences occasionally caused strands of hair to cling to my face, but fortunately, the final light and shadow captured that ephemeral, water-like ambiance.

The character's horned headdress and the intricate golden ornaments around the waist heavily test craftsmanship, and I am thrilled that their metallic luster was faithfully reproduced under the lens. Because I adore this outfit so much, I held onto these shots for a long time before sharing; having finally organized them today, the overall effect is both airy and crisp—a truly gratifying Genshin Impact Nilou cosplay endeavor.
