[Columbina Cosplay] Fitting Records of the Fatui Damselette from Genshin Impact

Adjusting repeatedly in front of the full-length mirror several times, this combination of white tulle dress and head veil finally achieved the expected draping feel. This pre-event fitting for Mangujia Fes chose Columbina, the Fatui Damselette from Genshin Impact, as the object of presentation. Although it's still in the fitting stage, the moment of putting on this outfit truly gives me an urge to tip-toe and twirl.
The costume overall mainly utilized a large amount of white sheer tulle and lace. The white primary color scheme is clean and carries an ethereal feel. The pink tying cord at the waist and the bowknot decoration right in front become the visual centerpiece of the whole body, which not only breaks the monotony of pure white but also enhances the design of a girlish feel. The skirt hem is multi-layered tulle, and the inner layer features a subtle pink-purple patchwork treatment, which can indistinctly reveal a sense of layering when walking, making the lower hem look lighter and more puffy. To match this dress, I specially selected a wig with a black base color carrying pink highlights; this hair color forms a very subtle echo with the pink bowknot on the dress, and can also better restore the traits of that character.
The decorations on the head are the key focus of this look. The white feather wing decorations and the draping transparent head veil make the overall aura become very fairy-like. The length of the head veil happens to rest naturally across the shoulders and arms; because the material is very lightweight, it floats slightly with the wind when walking, highly matching that atmosphere of being detached from the mortal world. The white cutout fabric bands wrapped around the wrists and forearms not only increase the layering of the accessories but also give the lines of the arms an extra touch of lightness under the camouflage of the tulle dress. The silver circular pendant on the neck is not large, but as a metallic embellishment within the plain-colored coordination, its texture is quite decent.
The lower body is paired with white tights and white high heels with chunky heels. The shoes feature a round-toe design, and after the shoelaces wrap around the ankle, they tie into a decoration carrying small wings and round beads on the side; this design is exceptionally exquisite. Putting on this gear and standing in front of the mirror, when sitting with legs crossed to strike this pose, one can clearly feel that the overall look puts weight on a sense of elegance while also preserving some playful design details. I was previously considering exactly which posture to use to present the character's composure; this quiet and stretched sitting posture just happens to highlight that cool and unpredictable trait of the Fatui Damselette.
Because it's the first time trying this kind of western-style dress design carrying a certain sense of structure and layering, I actually repeatedly adjusted for about half an hour on the fixing of the head veil and the placement of the wing hair accessories. After all, for a formal event like Mangujia Fes, details decide the final restoration accuracy. I am very glad that Mangujia's fitting version this time is highly fitted, with a natural narrowing of the waistline that won't have obvious wrinkle accumulations when sitting down. This skirt both preserves respect for the character setting and considers comfort when going out, and did not feel stuffy or hot under an indoor wearing state.
Taking more mirror selfies during the window before the official photo shoot can not only check for minor flaws on the clothing in advance but also allow myself to enter the character state as quickly as possible. Actually, going out in such an outfit indeed requires a bit of psychological buildup, but once truly put on, looking at that white and lightweight reflection in front of the mirror makes me feel that all preparations are worth it. This style is different from many everyday or combat-system characters tried before; its core is not being ostentatious, but rather a kind of peaceful, elegant, and even slightly dreamlike sense of detachment. Moving forward, I will continue to adjust the makeup and the hair strand direction of the wig, hoping to bring a complete visual effect to everyone on the day of the event.
