With a silver-blonde wig paired with white petal headpieces, this Lumine look was finalized. I have always resonated with characters from Genshin Impact, so for this Cosplay photography session, I paid special attention to recreating the costume and details faithfully. Arranging the outfit took quite a bit of time, especially getting the golden geometric emblem on the chest placed just right, and the wide white scarf wrinkled easily. To achieve a delicate 2D feel, I chose grey-brown contact lenses and emphasized the eyes with thicker lower eyelashes. The V-sign pose in the first photo was suggested by the photographer to show off the shoulder lines and the cutout waist design; we adjusted the angles multiple times before getting a satisfying shot with sunlight providing just the right side light. The second photo features hands clasped together in prayer, looking rather well-behaved and Cute, which fits the character's gentle nature better. During the shoot, we ran into quite a few hiccups: for example, the Blonde hair wig easily tangled when worn loose for a long time, so I had to comb it smooth during breaks. The hem of the skirt also kept catching on equipment, so I adjusted my stance repeatedly to maintain positioning. Throughout the whole process, even though this white costume was somewhat uncomfortable to wear, pairing it with long Blonde hair under warm lighting created a richly textured effect. Before cosplaying this character, I specifically studied the official concept art and practiced eye expressions and subtle facial cues for a long time. From selecting costumes and props early on to testing makeup and communicating with the photographer on-site, my understanding of the character deepened significantly. Although the stiff fabric felt a bit restrictive, seeing the final captured photos made me genuinely happy. I shot two sets of poses—one playful and one quiet—to showcase different facets of the character. For post-processing, I asked the retoucher not to overly smooth the skin texture to preserve a realistic, natural look. There were plenty of fun moments behind the scenes too: when raising my hand for the V-sign in the first photo, I almost hit the light stand next to me and barely stopped in time; in the second photo, holding my hands clasped for so long made my arms ache, but the final frozen frame turned out great. Recreating a beloved character is truly something that takes immense patience.
