Today I put on this Plana outfit while the sun was just right and snapped a few photos sitting on the floor. First, let's talk about the overall concept of this cosplay. The basic characteristics of Plana are white hair, Kemonomimi cosplay (animal ears), a black choker, and that iconic black oversized jacket with a navy sailor collar. When getting this outfit, I cared most about the cut of the jacket because that oversized, lazy feel is crucial. Although the wide cuffs cover the hands, they naturally create a casual and relaxed visual effect during photography.

To go with the jacket, I chose a dark blue sailor collar top as the inner layer. The iconic metal ring on the collar is the finishing touch, while the long white scarf tied at the chest breaks up the dark tones and echoes well with the white hair. As for the wig, straight white hair with blunt bangs paired with a black headband on top, along with that red-and-white ring-shaped accessory, instantly makes the overall silhouette distinct. For the Kemonomimi cosplay aspect, I used white plush props for the animal ears. Wearing them on my head together with the black choker really captured that cat-like feel.

The lower half consists of a dark blue pleated skirt, opaque black stockings, and platform uniform shoes. A black stockings cosplay paired with platform shoes is the standard for this academy style mixed with a touch of techwear vibe. During the shoot, I really loved the light and shadow in these photos. The sunlight slanted in from the wooden lattice window in the front-side, casting crisscrossing shadows on the floor and adding a touch of afternoon warmth and laziness to the whole picture. The colorful books on the wooden bookshelf and the acrylic standee with blue wave patterns beside it nicely enriched the layers of the background, keeping the scene from looking too empty during this indoor studio photography session.

In terms of posing, since she is called "Kitty Plana," the overall aura shouldn't be too tense. Just like the cover photo, kneeling on the floor, one hand gently lifted to touch the wig near the ear while the other naturally supports on the floor, keeping the gaze slightly cool, calm, and even a bit dazed. This maximizes the display of long leg curves in the black stockings cosplay and works with the light and shadow to show the layering of the outfit. The raised-hand gesture in the first photo was more of an instinctive "scratching" pose, leaning towards everyday playfulness, but I ultimately preferred the second photo as the main cover.

In the process of cosplay, managing props and outfits requires a lot of patience. For example, white wigs easily look frizzy and need careful combing and styling beforehand; the jacket sleeves are very long, so with large arm movements, one has to worry about exposing the inner layer's seams. However, at the moment the shutter is pressed, seeing the final image where laziness and delicacy coexist brings a great sense of accomplishment. Plana's character design naturally carries a calm divinity, and combined with this student uniform look, it showcases a clean and crisp unique 2D charm.

Although I had to contort into various tricky angles and sitting poses for the lighting during this indoor studio photography process, producing great photos in a familiar everyday setting feels amazing. There's no need for overly complicated scenes—just a window letting in light, a few bookshelves, plus character-accurate styling and hairstyle, and Plana's quiet, well-behaved nature instantly comes to life. The atmosphere of today's entire photo set is very comfortable. Wearing this outfit makes me feel much quieter myself, and that is probably the greatest joy 2D cosplay brings to me.
