Shooting this Promeia costume, the most intuitive feeling was the specialty of the material. The black-and-white color-blocked glossy leather and mesh paneling are visually eye-catching, but in actual wearing, they place extremely high demands on lighting. To present that futuristic sci-fi feel and cold texture, we put plenty of thought into lighting design. The main light source needed to bring out the garment's glossiness, especially the mesh areas on the waist sides and outer thighs, which needed to reveal skin texture without reflecting excessively to look cheap. At the same time, the background's cool tones had to be suppressed so the color contrast between the blue hair and the costume could be clearer.

The processing of the headpiece and wig was also a focal point. The blue blunt-bangs short hair paired with floor-length long braids boasts an enormous hair volume, and during large-scale movements, the wig's weight shifts the body's center of gravity. Especially for actions requiring backbends or leaning backward, the wig's flow and its contact point with the ground needed repeated adjustments, otherwise it easily broke immersion or caused stumbling. To keep the wig looking natural and free of frizz, plenty of care spray was applied before the shoot, and unnecessary friction was minimized during shooting.

The long boots are one of the character's souls. The over-the-knee patent leather chunky-heeled shoes, although fantastic for elongating leg lines, are actually quite difficult to wear. The boot shafts boast high snugness, and when executing single-knee-kneeling, side-sliding, or crawling movements, the tightness behind the knees and at the upper thighs was exceptionally noticeable. We needed to find various angles to ensure graceful movement while preventing the costume from forming awkward wrinkles. For instance, in that crawling posture, the back and leg lines had to be straightened, core tightened, and insteps pointed to make the long boots' lines look their absolute best. That backward-backbend action similarly relied entirely on waist-back strength and arm support; my core was shaking the entire time, but for the sake of the frame's effect, I had to grit my teeth and persist.

This shooting environment actually formed a stark contrast with the character's style. Overhead were artificial pink cherry blossoms and red lanterns, while the on-site lighting utilized extremely cold blue-and-white stage lights. This collision of traditional gentleness and cyber techwear actually provided me with very different shooting inspirations. I tried matching the character settings with mechanical, sharply abrupt body language. Hand actions, such as splayed fingers, clenched fists, or supporting the ground, were executed with as much strength as possible. When shooting half-kneeling poses, slight angle tilts of the legs could alter the entire frame's perspective, requiring constant communication with the photographer regarding camera height. To showcase lines from different angles, I switched through multiple ground-support methods, and my knees indeed became a bit red from friction. Every single frozen frame required controlling muscle trajectories to avoid looking limp. The entire process was not only a physical workout but also an external expression of the character's core. Through the garment's texture and body extension, I attempted to recreate that unique temperament of the character.
