Roxy's photos are finally meeting everyone. Actually, preparations for this Zenless Zone Zero cosplay have been going on for a while. To recreate this outfit, a lot of thought really went into fabric selection. The black leather jacket and white collar with a relatively stiff texture that everyone sees in the photos—to achieve that intertwined feel of a slight wasteland punk and gothic style, the leather material was specially chosen to have a bit of matte texture without being too stuffy, so it wouldn't reflect light too cheaply under flashlights. The colored fine stitching on the edge of the collar was also custom-ordered from a factory; a detail freak truly cannot compromise.

Regarding the wig, Roxy's mint green is actually not easy to do; it's very easy to look non-mainstream or have plastic-like hair strands. To handle that natural, fluffy yet messy hair flow feel, I used various styling and teasing techniques, and the styling on top of the head also used some hidden frameworks for support so that it could remain stable in front of the camera. The small black horns and silver cross hair clip were also finalized after repeatedly comparing materials.

In the eye makeup department, because one of Roxy's iconic features is her large black-rimmed glasses, the eye makeup needed to enlarge the eyes as much as possible without being swallowed by the frames. I used red contact lenses to match the overall color tone, and the eyeliner was slightly elongated and flicked upward to add a hint of cunningness. For the lip color, I chose a natural peach tone to neutralize the heaviness of the eye area.

The tombstone badge engraved with "R.I.P" and the heart pendant on the chest can be said to be one of the souls of this outfit. After the metal pieces were 3D printed, I manually polished, colored, and weathered them myself, adding some worn metal texture to make them look more storytelling. The spiked leather rings on the arms and legs were also chosen after trying different sizes, picking the one that fit best without looking bulky. The X-shaped scar makeup on the thigh was originally intended to be drawn with pure red lipstick, but later I tried pigments leaning more towards dark red and purple tones, and the effect turned out much more natural, somewhat like a bruise or the edge of a scab.

The shooting location was actually arranged by ourselves. Red and white alternating tulle and rose petals, coupled with classical candlesticks on the side, aimed to create an atmosphere that, while romantic, carried a slightly dark grim reaper vibe. The first sitting pose was meant to showcase Roxy's slightly lazy yet aggressive state. The action of adjusting the glasses actually masked a little bit of tension. The second lying-down composition, with eyes closed and cooperating with the appearance of tightly clutching props on the chest, wanted to express a moment of silence or slumber; the contrast between the red roses and white tulle was quite striking. The close-up in the third photo mainly aimed to let everyone clearly see the chest structure of the clothing and the belt details at the waist.

Actually, every time I cosplay a character with such complex equipment, just putting it on, taking it off, and securing it takes a long time. However, seeing the final photos, there is indeed a great sense of accomplishment. The contrast between the heaviness of the clothing and the exposed parts of the skin, combined with the lighting setup, achieved the expected results. Thanks to the photographer Nieneu (捏捏nebuula)'s lens for capturing all these hidden details.
