This shoot took place at an open-air swimming pool. Preparing the hair and makeup took considerable time, particularly styling the wig to look natural while fitting cleanly. The silver-white wig paired with light blue hair accessories gave off a lovely translucent glow under direct sunlight. For eye makeup, I accentuated the aegyo sal and applied reddish eyeshadow alongside lively blush, lending the face more dimension and camera appeal. For wardrobe, I chose a dark one-piece Summer swimsuit paired with pink-and-white striped sleeve warmers and black armbands; this black-and-pink contrast added rich visual texture without feeling monotonous. During the Poolside photoshoot, natural daylight was abundant and reflections off the water were intense. We intentionally scheduled the session for late afternoon when the softer light better complemented skin tones. Shooting from low angles near the water surface with upward tilts utilized wide-angle optics to elongate the leg lines and flatter proportions. In one shot, I sat on the pool ledge with one leg raised and a hand shielding my forehead—originally a spontaneous gesture against the glare, which the photographer loved and directed into a keeper. Maintaining balance by the wet ledge required engaging core muscles and extending the toes to elongate lines. Another shot captured an over-the-shoulder glance with knees bent and hands bracing on the tiles, requiring steady posture to avoid tilting backward. In post-processing, we cleaned water noise and artifacts while preserving raw tile textures, tuned skin tones to a translucent fair finish, and slightly eased contrast for an airy Japanese summer aesthetic. The color interplay between the pink sleeves and turquoise water added rich depth to the final Cosplay photography images.
