The Convention photos from the Shenzhen Loop Universe ACG Carnival are finally sorted out! This shoot was quite challenging because this Corin cosplay gear from Zenless Zone Zero is genuinely heavy.

Let's talk about the costume and props first. The black-and-white patchwork maid outfit is adorned with various metal buckles and embellishments; not only does it have a wealth of details, but putting it on and adjusting it also requires meticulous care. The absolute centerpiece is that massive circular saw spear—the material is very solid and carries substantial weight in hand. In a crowded convention environment, hauling this giant prop around the hall was quite a test of arm stamina. But to capture Corin's signature gap-moe contrast as an aloof maid, all the hard work felt completely worthwhile.

Regarding the shoot, special thanks go to photographer Mo Qiu Feng. Our gear setup this time consisted of a Sony A7C2 paired with a Tamron 28-75mm G2 lens, along with a lighting combo of Godox AD200Pro and V860II lights, which played a massive role on site for Cosplay photography.

The first photo is a low-angle upward shot, utilizing the high steel-truss ceiling of the convention hall as a backdrop combined with overhead ceiling lighting to give the entire frame an imposing presence. The pose in Photo 4, with a sideways glance-back and a single lifted leg, was mainly intended to showcase the character's leg lines and boot details while balancing the massive weapon.

Shooting convention photos inside the exhibition hall is actually a huge challenge, with messy lighting and crowds bustling behind. Fortunately, the photographer managed it brilliantly, using ambient ceiling lights paired with fill light from off-camera flashes to keep the frame clean and translucent, while accentuating the metallic texture of this maid outfit and the tech aesthetics of the weapon in this Event photo sharing.

The atmosphere at Shenzhen Loop Universe has always been fantastic, with everyone enthusiastically shooting and sharing with one another, which was my biggest motivation for cosplaying Corin. Although hauling the heavy weapon throughout the entire shoot was tiring, looking at the resulting photos brings an immense sense of accomplishment. Of course, getting tripped by the skirt hem or props happened quite a bit in reality, but thankfully I held my balance every time without taking a tumble.

Regarding off-camera lighting, pairing the AD200Pro with the 860II flash nicely balanced the high-contrast glare of the venue's bright ceiling lights, capturing the architectural structure of the hall without causing overexposure or crushed shadows on the face.

At the convention, I met many fellow cosplayers crafting props with similar attention to detail, exchanging ideas on prop fabrication and receiving valuable suggestions for this look.

Furthermore, to portray Corin's vibe of being socially anxious yet formidable in combat, I spent a long time fine-tuning my expressions—aiming to maintain a certain cool detachment without looking contrived. Luckily, the photographer snapped timely shots, accurately freezing the glance-back motion and single-leg balance pose.

Overall, shooting these Convention photos at Shenzhen Loop Universe was not only a memorable roleplaying experience, but also a wonderful learning journey in Cosplay photography. Even after running around the entire venue carrying a giant chainsaw, being able to share this cute gear and finished shots with everyone makes it all deeply worthwhile.
