This Honkai Impact 3rd Seele Vollerei Mirrored Flourishes cosplay features very distinct stylized design adjustments. Compared to her standard combat gear, the Mirrored Flourishes outfit leans much more strongly into a cheongsam silhouette; the white satin printed fabric possesses exquisite texture and sheen, though it is quite delicate, requiring extra care during outdoor cosplay shoots to avoid dirt. The blue detached sleeves serve as one of the visual centerpieces of this look—their white cross-shaped cutout patterns and lower ruffled edge details align perfectly with the character's gentle undertones.
For the hairstyle, we selected a deep blue-black wig interwoven with subtle blue-purple highlights, echoing the large white flower hair accessory on the side of the head along with multiple long ribbons. The riverside breeze on the day of the shoot was actually quite strong, yet the ribbons fluttering in the wind added dynamic motion to static frames. The light purple-and-white canopy of the oil-paper umbrella prop fit the lightweight tone perfectly. In the first two umbrella-holding photos, I deliberately utilized the umbrella canopy's shadow and light-dark boundaries, striving to construct geometric balance in the composition through the ribs of the umbrella.
In the third and fourth close-ups, I focused more on showcasing the neckline and shoulder details of the costume. The black fishnet-like cutout design across the chest, paired with the inner pure white satin, creates a layered visual contrast while maintaining a tastefully balanced aesthetic space. The black leather criss-cross thigh straps serve as a signature element of the Mirrored Flourishes look; while these straps demand well-proportioned legs, they enhance sculptural line definition while preserving Seele's cool, aloof demeanor. Posing on stone ledges near the water in white high heels was certainly no easy feat, requiring constant attention to footing and slip prevention.
Regarding the location, we chose to shoot during the golden hour right before sunset, as the light during this timeframe is extremely soft and the river water evenly bounces sky light onto the face, acting as a natural fill light. When handling the relationship between subject and background, I intentionally controlled focal length to blur the urban skyline behind me, creating a subtle contrast between the gray urban tones and the blue-and-white outfit. This environment significantly aided character mood modeling—offering a modern city backdrop while maintaining the tranquility of a quiet waterfront away from noise. The Mirrored Flourishes form presents a maturity and restraint compared to her standard looks. Thus, in posture management, I leaned heavily on seated and resting poses to align with the quiet yet resilient dimension of her personality. We also finely adjusted umbrella and arm positions repeatedly to keep sleeve ribbons from entangling with props. Overall, this outdoor cosplay shoot fulfilled expectations in costume fidelity and lighting control, serving as a memorable Cosplay photography experience.
