[Qingque cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Holding a Winning Hand to Quietly Strike It Rich

Holding the mahjong tiles while seated before a traditional Chinese tea table, this photo captures Qingque's cheerful and carefree demeanor in Honkai: Star Rail. Shooting this set was genuinely fun; the costume features a striking color-blocked splicing of cyan-blue and deep purple, where the high-neck off-shoulder cut makes the shoulder and neckline look exceptionally clean and crisp on camera. The carved golden frog buttons at the collar and the large golden emblem on the chest boast wonderful texture, casting gentle reflections under soft lighting. The lower skirt features a wave-shaped hem—lake blue on the outside with white inner lining—creating distinct dimensional layers.

The sleeves are one of my favorite parts of this look: detachable wide sleeves with wave-like abstract prints across a dark background, paired with intersecting cyan-green straps wrapped along the arms, granting dynamic extension even in static poses. The black ankle boots on my feet are adorned with small green bows, neatly echoing the cool tones of the garments; combined with a nude Stocking outfit, it kept me warm without compromising the lightweight visual aesthetic.

For hair and makeup, the short light-blonde wig styled with white pom-pom hair ties at the ends is both playful and endearingly quirky. The small cyan hairpin on the side is a clever detail, serving as both a highlight and a signature feature. In expression control, I explored various vibes to match the character's persona: Photo 1, crossing one leg while raising the tile, captures the most vibrant moment; Photo 2, winking close to the lens, brings a hint of playful intrigue; Photo 3, flipping through an old book, presents a contrasting touch of quiet contemplation.

The Ancient style photoshoot set design harmonized wonderfully: a dark wooden table, white porcelain teapot, delicate floral twigs, and that circular Chinese paper lantern casting a warm yellow halo in the background. During the shoot, the photographer and I intentionally utilized the foreground tea set and background lighting to evoke the cozy, lazy atmosphere of brewing tea by the stove—or rather, taking a slacker's afternoon break. Illumination focused primarily on the face and the cyan-blue blocks of the costume, providing warm-and-cool contrast without overwhelming the frame.

The synergy between props was delightful: combining mahjong tiles, antique tomes, and tea utensils perfectly captured the character's slacker yet subtly clever temperament. The process of Cosplay photography was really about materializing this relaxed vibe—no need for forced, dramatic poses; relaxing into the leisurely moment made it much easier to snap natural, spirited frames. All in all, this was an indoor studio shoot that deeply aligned with the character's essence while maintaining high shooting efficiency, resulting in a thoroughly comfortable experience.
