Putting on this navy blue school uniform and adopting a purple hairstyle with a side braid and white flower hair accessories, I felt like I instantly entered Misuzu Hataya's state. The weather was beautiful on the day of the shoot; framing the scenes between the campus and the green spaces, the light blue plaid splicing on the skirt hem looked exceptionally layered while walking. To stay close to the character's idol aura, I specially chose black uniform shoes with a slight heel paired with long black socks, and adjusted my standing poses to a more energetic angle. Outdoor shooting actually puts one's patience to the test, especially the camera positions near the stair railings and bushes, requiring repeated angle adjustments to avoid messy light spots. However, that refreshing school atmosphere in the final photos was indeed spot on. In terms of costume details, the blue ribbon knot at the collar and the mini brooch on the side were the finishing touches, preventing the entire outfit from looking too monotonous. The wig was styled with braids in advance, and with the addition of the tassels, I'm quite satisfied with the overall replication level. Looking back at this set of photos, I feel that the coordination of light, shadow, and props made the character's personality more three-dimensional. Although it's just a one-time cosplay attempt, I still put a lot of thought into location scouting and expression management, hoping to convey the character's earnest yet somewhat airheaded traits. As a weekend shooting record, the process was fulfilling and fun. I'm also grateful for the photographer's control of focus and composition, making the atmosphere of each photo just right for this The Idolmaster cosplay session.
