[Shigure Ui Cosplay] Loli Kami Requiem, the Twin-Tailed Angel on Campus

Shooting this set of Shigure Ui's Loli Kami Requiem themed photos actually took quite a lot of thought from preparation to implementation. Because the character's setting is highly recognizable, the golden twin tails cosplay outfit paired with pom-pom hair accessories, clear green eyes, and that highly classic school uniform of a blue jumper skirt, white shirt, and red bow tie all required precise control to present that pure and agile feeling before the lens.

To match the character's clear skin texture during makeup, the base makeup went through very detailed handling, and with green contact lenses plus thin blush, I hoped to restore that slightly natural yet cute expression of the original setting. The studio selected for this shoot is a standard pure-colored background, which maximizes the color contrast of the costume. The clash of blue and red looks exceptionally refreshing against the white base, keeping the frame from looking cluttered.

The red backpack and that yellow small hanger are both finishing touches of this look. Especially in Image 5 where I sit cross-legged on the desk holding the small yellow prop, paired with the red backpack beside me, that lazy yet slightly playful student atmosphere after school comes out. During the shoot, the photographer and I were constantly discussing the extension of movements, needing to maintain the loli character's petite feeling while letting the poses have dynamic vitality.

Just like the cover photo (Image 1), holding the blue skirt hem with both hands and slightly parting the legs is not only to display the skirt's pattern and folds, but also to expose the white stockings and the band-aid on the knee. This band-aid detail is highly important; it is the key element to increase the sense of daily life and fragility in the overall styling, letting the character image be more than just an empty shell, but a living and breathing vivid presence.

In Image 2, I sit on the ground holding a white plush ball with both hands; the forward-leaning posture makes me look more approachable, and this contrast between pure white, bright red, and deep blue is highly healing. Meanwhile, Image 3 is sitting sideways before the desk, elegantly crossing one leg over the other with toes lightly pointed; cooperating with this action, the lines of the white stockings and the natural extension of leg muscles can be beautifully displayed.

In terms of post-color grading, we chose an airy atmosphere leaning toward a cool white tone, without deliberately darkening or overexposing, keeping the frame bright and translucent. Handled this way, the overall photos possess both character restoration and the artistic feel of the photos themselves. For this costume, the range of movement during shooting cannot be too large, otherwise, it easily destroys the pattern of the clothes; yet it cannot be too rigid, losing the character's liveliness. Therefore, every single photo went through repeated refinement, such as in Image 4 where I sit on the floorboards with legs extended and palms spread open, cooperating with that scattered yellow object on the ground, as if having a minor interactive game with the audience.

This attempt also counts as a minor tribute to this character, interpreting her playfulness and innocence in my own way. I hope this set of pictures allows everyone to feel the cuteness of this character.
