Entering the studio, my first impression was that the blue lighting effect on set perfectly matched the stage tone we wanted to convey, setting a clear visual direction for the subsequent shoot.
A complete stage-vibe styling requires significant time to tweak details—especially the wig paired this time, where hair light transparency and layering were repeatedly adjusted several times. To match the hair color, I tested several contact lenses with varying translucency, eventually selecting this clear blue-green version, allowing my gaze to remain focused under cool stage lights without looking overly harsh.
Outfits served as the visual centerpiece for this Blue-themed cosplay role. The glossy blue jacket reflected a lovely glow under stage spotlights; this reflective fabric placed high demands on on-site lighting—overly harsh direct light easily blows out highlight areas and loses detail, while weak front light fails to highlight the garment's 3D silhouette. The black patent leather skirt featured multi-layered paneled designs, especially the drooping ring of white mesh weaving at the hem, beautifully breaking up the heaviness of an all-black lower body, adding airy elegance and breathability. High-top black glossy boots visually extended leg lines while reinforcing the character's sharp demeanor.
During the shoot, I communicated repeatedly with the photographer regarding emotional expression. Because the character setting is in a stage performance state, the gaze into the camera must be firm, while body movements should not appear overly stiff or artificially posed. For instance, in the first picture where I sat on a speaker holding a microphone, to look natural, we carefully adjusted weight distribution, including the pressure points of fingers gripping the mic, testing repeatedly to recreate the relaxed demeanor and sharp coolness of a live concert.
The studio's hardware facilities were top-notch; the massive LED backdrop screen provided a vivid dynamic stage environment, which, combined with on-site smoke, instantly created an immersive concert-like experience. We attempted utilizing industrial-style trusses and speakers to aid Stage photography composition; these metallic props gave frames spatial depth without overwhelming the character with an overly flashy background.
Beyond standard standing poses, I deliberately attempted low-angle shooting while lying across the speaker. Lowering the upper body's center of gravity naturally shifted visual focus to the collar of the black leather jacket and the white paneling design. Paired with that languid prone state, it revealed another side of the character's captivating charm—relaxed composure beyond her stage explosive power.
The entire session lasted several hours, switching camera angles throughout to capture distinct action details. Some shots featured holding the mic high while looking up into the lens, while others were casually leaning against metal pillars. It is worth mentioning that under different camera angles, the chemical reaction between the blue-green wig and cool stage lighting varied completely—especially low front lighting paired with the blue LED screen behind, creating delicate light-and-shadow dynamics that faithfully restored ACG texture.
As a cosplayer who frequently attempts various styles, I place high value on the synergy between fabric texture and character settings. This outfit's silhouette was complex; reflective materials especially crease easily during transit, requiring careful ironing before shooting. From hairstyle and makeup to outfit coordination, we exerted every effort to restore this character's personality traits. Simultaneously, I incorporated my own Roleplay interpretation of subtle stage movements—how to hold the microphone or the slight angle of a raised chin—which directly influenced the final temperament.
Collaborating with photographer @上水流銀河 was very smooth; he quickly grasped the state I wished to express and guided my body positioning based on on-site light and composition. Whether stepping on the speaker to showcase body proportions or leaning before equipment to show a confident side, every set of movements carried narrative tension.
