The location for this Night portrait shoot was chosen as an indoor-outdoor space featuring European architectural styles. The overall styling concept was Japanese style photography Ojou-sama style, with the core item being Rojita's light-colored long dress. This dress has many design details, such as the lace at the neckline, black bow decorations, and shawl short sleeves with a built-in translucent feel. To match the dress's temperament, the waist was specially paired with a double-row belt featuring a gold metal square buckle, which not only defines the waist but also adds a touch of refinement. On the feet, black platform Mary Jane shoes were chosen paired with white mid-tube Stockings; this shoe-and-sock combination is very common in Japanese style outfits, enhancing the overall vintage feel while being more suitable for walking on stone steps than thin high heels. The hair accessory was matched with white flower branches and vines, hanging down along the updo, swaying slightly in the night breeze.

The shoot lasted from dusk into the night. The difficulty of a Night portrait lies in light control, but the advantage is that the background's sense of layering is very rich. We utilized the indoor stone columns, iron railings, and fountains of the building, combined with distant warm-toned string lights, to create many bokeh effects. In Figure 1, standing at the corner of the stairs with hands crossed on the railing, this pose was mainly to showcase the natural drape of the skirt hem, and the photographer framed it slightly from above, capturing the stone columns and classical architectural lines behind. Figure 2's side profile glance back focuses on displaying the hair accessory and back lines; gently lifting the skirt hem with the hand makes the skirt's bottom contour clearer.

During the shooting process, I tried to stay in a relaxed state rather than deliberately striking poses. In Figure 5, holding a canned drink was actually a candid shot of drinking water between shooting breaks, but the red can and the black-and-white color-blocked skirt formed a sharp color contrast with a sense of daily playfulness, so it was kept. The action in Figure 4 of stepping one leg on a stone column was to showcase the lace of the lower layer of the skirt and the leg lines, and the perspective of the platform Mary Jane shoes made the overall proportions look slender. Standing by the pond in Figure 6, the water in the background reflected little lights, creating a strong contrast of light and shadow between the dark pond water and the light-colored skirt.

We captured many moving frames because the skirt fabric is extremely lightweight, and the dynamic feel of the skirt hem fluttering when walking is very beautiful. Night shooting doesn't require excessive skin smoothing; retaining some real skin texture and shadows cast by lights actually gives it more of a cinematic feel. Sitting on the railing in Figure 7, the light hitting from the side just illuminated the lace texture, and the moment of lowering the head to tidy hair was captured, appearing very natural.

Throughout the entire shoot, although the night breeze was a bit chilly, wearing this dress and immersing in the vintage atmosphere made the final photo results very satisfying. From clothing selection and accessory matching to the light and shadow coordination of the shooting venue, every photo recorded the current state, making it a very smooth and happy photography experience.
