[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Pink Elf: Pure White Feathers and Dreamlike Over-the-Shoulder Glance

The final frames of this Remielle photoshoot from Zenless Zone Zero are finally ready to share. From preliminary pre-production to the final shutter clicks, there were so many moments throughout the process worth documenting.

We began with the wig. To achieve the ideal look, I tested three different Pink wig options with varying base tones and fibers. The one we ultimately selected required extensive tailoring. Because it had to accommodate pointed Elf ears, the wisps of hair along the sideburns and temples had to be trimmed and styled with utmost precision. If the hair was too dense, it would obscure the ears; if it was too thin, it would look flat against the scalp. It took three rounds of adjustments to achieve this layered, buoyant texture. The silver star hairclips and blue bows were checked repeatedly in the mirror to ensure they wouldn't slip during turns or movement.

For makeup, to complement the scarlet contacts, the eye makeup leaned toward warm pinks and soft reddish hues. I chose lenses that offered vibrant pigmentation while remaining comfortable. The eyelids were shaded with a shimmering pinkish-brown base, while the outer corners were deepened to give the eyes both the sharpness of an elf and a gentle softness. The base was kept lightweight and dewy, allowing natural skin texture and radiance to shine through under high-resolution lenses.

The complexity of this wardrobe reflects extraordinary attention to design. Dominated by pure white and soft light blue, abundant feather accents serve as its most defining visual motif. Securing these feathers required meticulous work; to ensure they wouldn't flutter out of place or appear bulky during dynamic movement, I reinforced the inner lining with hidden snaps and extra stitching beforehand. The upper harnesses and choker were adjusted to the optimal tension—showcasing collarbones and shoulder lines without restricting breathing. The seated, knee-hugging pose in Photo 1 was an intense core workout. To sustain that position while projecting a relaxed, effortless attitude, I had to keep muscles engaged off-camera. I was holding a small prop at the time, but for the final edit, we added an adorable chibi sticker to introduce playful contrast and charm.

Photo 2 is easily one of my favorite captures from the session. This over-the-shoulder glance was designed to showcase the backless cut of the dress and the airy, voluminous layers of the feathered skirt. Studio lighting angled from the upper side, tracing the lines of my shoulders and back. The photographer suggested raising my right hand to point upward, which elongated visual lines and created a clear compositional guide. Set against massive white wings and classical Roman pillars, the ambiance felt ethereal and grand, requiring bolder, more expansive poses and an authoritative gaze to anchor the set.

To complete the styling, the lower half paired full-length white Stockings with white pointed-toe stilettos. Walking between setups required gently lifting the hem to avoid stepping on long feathers and tripping. Though physically exhausting, seeing the chiaroscuro and fabric textures on camera brought immense satisfaction. Layering these subtle details is what brings the character fully to life, deepening my appreciation for this creative journey.
