[Ronova cosplay] Dark Gothic Style Retro Afternoon Tea

This set of Ronova photos is finally out, and first of all, I'd like to thank the photographer @千鹤 for their hard work in shooting and post-processing. Regarding Ronova's makeup and styling, I put a lot of thought into recreating it. In terms of the wig, long white straight hair with blunt bangs—to achieve a naturally falling texture, I specially thinned out the hairwefts to ensure a matte effect in dim lighting environments without looking fake or shiny. For the makeup, to fit the character's temperament, I wore red contact lenses, and the eye makeup heavily utilized red shading, especially at the outer corners of the eyes and lower eyelids, creating a slightly intoxicated yet somewhat alluring and mischievous vibe. The lip color was also deliberately chosen as bright red, echoing the overall black, red, and white color scheme.
The costume details are extremely numerous. The corset-style design is a rigorous test for pattern making; the waist hollow-out and the choker on the chest utilized micro-elastic fabric, which perfectly fits the body shape while ensuring comfort. The main black color scheme paired with red and silver-white geometric lines is very sharp. The semi-transparent tulle material at the shoulders, neck, and arms, combined with black long gloves printed with red totems, is full of layering. The asymmetrical design of the skirt hem is a major highlight, where the stiff outer black tailoring forms a sharp material contrast with the soft inner white pleated tulle skirt, and the red-and-black trailing cape at the back spreads out on the sofa, supporting the visual center of gravity of the entire frame.
Black pointed-toe high heels were chosen for the shoes, with red soles, paired with black translucent stockings, which further elongated the leg lines and made them look even more slender visually. During the shoot, to match this dark gothic-leaning styling, the photographer @千鹤 and I specially selected a deep blue retro leather sofa, dark wooden bookshelves, and intricate floral carpets as the background. In terms of lighting, a technique of darkening the environment was adopted to make the subject stand out even more in the low-key tones.
During the shooting process, I tried a variety of sitting and standing postures, utilizing the sofa's armrests and height differences to showcase the clothing's layers and leg lines. In terms of expression control, I tried my best to maintain that cold, confident, and slightly aggressive gaze, which, combined with body language, fully maximized the character's untouchable aura. Overall, Ronova presents a mysterious, confident, and controlled beauty. Since it's cosplay, there are inevitably parts that might feel out-of-character (OOC), so I hope everyone can be understanding. From costume preparation to scene setup, every single detail was polished as much as possible, hoping to showcase the character's unique charm.
