The photoshoot for the trial look for the 2nd Black Dragonfly Guangzhou Anime Convention is complete, set for an in-person attendance during the event from February 7th to 9th. This time, at the Pazhou Inspiration Innovation Hall's Winter magical world themed zone, I plan to showcase three distinct outfits for the Genshin Impact Misaki cosplay character. From the early stages of outfit preparation, I kept thinking about how to highlight the character's traits in the vast indoor space of the venue. The first set is a white-and-blue fluffy dress that I'm quite satisfied with. The most painstaking detail of the outfit lies in the sequin decorations on the upper body and securing the golden gem on the chest; to ensure nothing unravels during a full day of movement, I specifically added reinforcing patches to the inner lining. The matching light blue wig paired with red-and-black contrasting side hair accessories creates a great level of character fidelity. The flower bouquet used during the shoot helps fill the empty space at the chest, while sitting naturally highlights details like the white silk stockings and lace-trimmed thigh ring. The lace stockings are on the thin side, so to prevent overexposure from harsh venue lighting glare, I added a layer of matte base underneath before putting them on. The second set features silver twin-tails paired with a silver foil crown look. The overall aesthetic of this costume leans toward icy, cool elegance. Since the crown is made of rigid material, special attention was needed for center-of-gravity balance when pinning it into the wig to keep it from falling while walking with head tilted. The garment itself utilizes light blue organza, with multi-layered tulle stacking on the sleeves that creates an airy, fluffy effect when raising a hand to adjust hair. The drawstring waist tie allows flexible adjustment according to body shape, and the tulle skirt hem fans out gracefully whether sitting still or turning around. The third set features a battle-style configuration. The top utilizes an asymmetrical dark blue and white design, with sleeves on one side patched with black-and-white chessboard patterns, creating a striking visual contrast against the pure blue-and-white base. The lower half is paired with black semi-sheer stockings and royal blue custom boots. Seated on a throne draped in white velvet while holding a magic wand, surrounded by scattered black-and-white chess pieces, it creates a sense of magical chess game confrontation. The lighting in these Cosplay photography shots mainly used side-backlighting, forming a semi-translucent silhouette along one side of the tulle skirt. Let's talk about the practical logistics of convention free passes. Since long hours of standing and walking are required during convention days, shoe sole firmness directly dictates stamina drainage; I prepared shoes with elastic latex insoles, which cushion very well. Furthermore, indoor foot traffic at conventions is always dense, especially in massive venues over 30,000 square meters like Pazhou. Heavy clothing can hinder movement, so the tulle fabrics I chose are highly breathable, well-suited for Guangzhou's humid February temperature shifts between indoor and outdoor. Before attending, I made a small makeup maintenance plan: applying an extra layer of loose powder after setting makeup and bringing a small matte setting spray bottle to touch up oily reflections periodically. The Winter magical world theme fits Guangzhou's winter quite well, and the Pazhou venue area usually features beautiful light refractions, making it ideal for photos. The currently planned outfits are all texture-matched to this indoor atmosphere, hoping to offer visiting fans a great visual experience.
