I finally brought Ronova's look from Genshin Impact to life, and this character design hits my aesthetic preferences perfectly. The entire ensemble follows that classic black-and-red palette; to faithfully capture that dangerous yet captivating texture, I was extremely selective with the fabrics. The sheer black mesh of the bodice, combined with silver piping and lace-up strapping, flatters the silhouette remarkably well. The tiered skirt design has fantastic dimension, with black-and-white pleated tulle pooling gracefully on the floor and fluttering gorgeously in motion. To match the character's temperament, I deliberately paired semi-sheer black Stockings with pointed-toe black high heels, which not only elongated the leg lines but also added a sharp, commanding edge.

The makeup took the longest time to perfect. For the wig, I selected a cool-toned white style, carefully trimming blunt bangs and curling the face-framing strands. The eyes were the undisputed centerpiece of the look: heavily diffused with crimson tones and paired with golden amber contact lenses. To achieve that cold, otherworldly glamour, the base makeup was kept porcelain pale, topped off with a classic true-red lipstick. Once the white forehead band featuring the eye motif and the crimson demon horns were secured, the regal presence materialized instantly.

Prepping for this studio session took extensive time, primarily around constructing the set and staging props. That gothic black throne served as an incredible centerpiece: the red diamond-tufted upholstery behind, dark crimson velvet drapery, and scattered red roses pushed the red-and-black ambiance to the absolute maximum. To evoke that dungeon or vampire castle vibe, the lighting technician deliberately employed low-key lighting, heightening contrast between illumination and deep shadow. We explored numerous poses during the shoot—crossing legs on the throne, resting my chin on one hand, or propping a leg directly over the armrest. Conveying that sovereign aura of total control required engaging my core muscles at all times. Holding poses on rigid props in heels and Stockings was quite physically demanding, especially needing to keep the Stockings completely taut and wrinkle-free to preserve a clean shot.

Post-production color grading leaned into high-contrast dark gothic aesthetics, preserving the natural sheen of the fabrics while making porcelain skin and silver hair stand out. I am thoroughly satisfied with the overall expressive impact, which I feel captures the character's mysterious, seductive nature. From the red-and-black wrist linework to the geometric emblems along the skirt hem, every fine detail was faithfully recreated.
