[Lisa Cosplay] Genshin Impact: The Witch Under the Wind of Freedom and Her Restless Hat

Today I'm sharing behind-the-scenes moments and finished shots from this Genshin Impact Lisa cosplay photoshoot. Before setting off, we were still discussing what kind of lighting to use to highlight the texture of the purple mage robe. However, upon arriving at the location—confronted by a sprawling sea of pink flowers across the hills and a pristine blue sky—the biggest challenge was not lighting at all, but rather the sudden, powerful wind that day.

I believe many cosplayers understand how frustrating it is to shoot hats that aren't domed or securely anchored. Although this purple witch hat delivers a strong visual impact with its Witch elements, it catches the wind immensely. The freeze-frame moments in the photos where I'm holding onto my hat were actually because off-camera I was screaming "Hat! Hat! Hat!" the entire time—though naturally, these screams were mercifully muted by the post-processing artist. During the shoot, almost every photo was captured in an endless loop of "holding hat - posing - blown crooked by wind." The photographer @Gurumoji (Exams Edition) was extremely professional, pressing the shutter for accurate exposures right in the gaps between gusts of wild wind.

As for not having all the accessories fully equipped, I sincerely apologized in the post description as well. Outdoor portrait shoots naturally involve a lot of logistics, and due to a minor mishap with props during transport, some small accessories had to be regretfully omitted. But looking at it from another angle, flaws themselves are part of Cosplay photography. It was precisely within these "imperfect" real-time reactions that I came to deeply appreciate the character's casual and languid vibe where the "Wind of Freedom forever blows." Wind is nature's gift; even though it threw us into a frenzy, the resulting photos carry an unexpectedly dashing vitality.

The post-production retouching for this set was handled by Inaba-sensei. The sky's depth and the color saturation of the flower field were toned comfortably without any fake, over-filtered look. The visual tension brought by low-angle upward shots, combined with long hair cascading over shoulders and that slightly wind-tousled witch hat, perfectly captured the persona of a mage in the wind. During the shoot, I wore black thigh-high socks and black shorts, which actually caught grass seeds quite easily while walking through outdoor flower patches. To avoid showing any out-of-place flaws, I often had to quickly shift standing positions within two or three seconds, heavily testing real-time reactions.

Looking back at this shoot, I feel its most meaningful aspect isn't just successfully producing photos, but proving that once you immerse yourself in this character, even if external environments present a thousand obstacles, you can still transform those "obstacles" into the character's soulful core through teamwork with the photography team. Wind is Lisa's element in Genshin Impact, and it served as the soul painter of this photoshoot set. I hope everyone behind the screen can also feel this breezy summer wind and sense of freedom—it was a thoroughly fulfilling Cosplay photography experience.
