This photoshoot took place at the Pazhou outdoor grounds during the Firefly ACG Expo, with photography by NightDiva. The shoot took place on January 2nd; the weather was a bit chilly, but I persisted for a long time to achieve the best results. This cosplay was 22-niang, one of the characters from 2233-niang.
The entire costume is centered around a red and black color palette, featuring generous black ruffled pleats across the chest accented with gold borders and buttons, giving it a very magnificent look. The hair is bright blue long wavy hair paired with red colored contacts. The giant white plush bunny ears on top are very eye-catching, adorned with a blue lightning bolt decoration in the middle, and a mini crown with red roses fastened to one side of the ears.
During the shoot, I experimented with various poses. When standing, I raised my hand slightly to match the framing; since the sleeves are long, I had to pay close attention to the drape and flow of the cuffs. For seated full-body shots, we used a folding chair, posing with legs extended forward. The red platform crisscross-strap high heels paired with white pantyhose White stockings, along with playing card props scattered at the bottom of the frame, made the broad lines of the white legs occupy a prominent proportion of the composition. Throughout the shoot, I also held a white rabbit plush doll—sometimes placing it on my lap, sometimes holding it up for poses—adjusting angles to make the legs look even more slender.
The outdoor presentation of this costume leans toward an impactful 2D style; the high-contrast combo of red, white, blue, and black displayed great texture under outdoor natural light. The texture of the White stockings delivered a delicate visual effect in the light, which, combined with the elongating effect of the platform heels, accentuated the leg contours. When preparing props, I scattered several playing cards across the chair and ground to create a narrative sense. Since daylight shifts rapidly, the same pose had to be repeated many times to catch the right expression. Although the January wind in Guangzhou was rather strong, causing hair and plush bunny ears to blow around, the overall shooting process was very smooth. We wrapped up the final shoot before nightfall, making it a very joyful outdoor experience.
