[Nahida Cosplay] A Date with the Blossoms at Xiamen Ring World - Image 1

Revisiting the meaning of existence after recognizing nothingness—this phrase perfectly interprets this fan-made design cosplay shoot for Nahida. In the lore of Genshin Impact, the Dendro Archon has gone through countless cycles and reconstructions, yet ultimately remains steadfast in her belief in the power of life and wisdom itself. This attempt does not use her official appearance, but rather incorporates more of my personal understanding and imagination of a forest elf.

A lot of thought went into matching the fabrics and layers of the outfit. The main color tone is a slightly muted, grayish mint green, paired with an outer layer of pearlescent white tulle. The bow on the chest, the multi-layered ruffles, and the delicate floral patterns woven into the hem make the entire dress look both lightweight and dimensional. The wings on the back are made of a semi-transparent pearlescent material with a few small flowers tucked into the edges, casting a soft shimmer under the refraction of light. To fit the elf-like vibe of this fan-made design, I specially used a white-and-green gradient wig. The green highlights near the ears and the white flowers hidden within the hair strands fit the overall temperament perfectly.

For the makeup, I selected green colored contacts that echo the theme. Low-saturation peach pink was applied over a large area as eyeshadow, with a touch of reddish tint swept at the outer corners of the eyes. The emphasis was placed on highlighting the skin texture through clean, translucent base makeup. The pointed elf ears were also an indispensable, core detail, which greatly helped the character break away from an everyday look. The shooting location was at Xiamen Ring World; the lighting environment and the grayish background bokeh there perfectly suited the quiet and pure atmosphere I wanted to present.

Due to the large hem of the skirt and the attachment of the wings, it wasn't very convenient to make large physical movements during the shoot. Therefore, I relied more on my gaze and expressions to convey the character's serenity. The thick wooden bracelet on my wrist is a prop I personally love; it adds a touch of coarse, raw element alongside the soft tulle dress. While this fan-made design might not perfectly match everyone's vision of Nahida's official image, the process from discovering nothingness to confirming existence itself is truly worth documenting with an outfit based on my own understanding.
