This styling of Sandrone Alice from Genshin Impact required a lot of thought during the preparation stage. Starting with the details of the costume, a blue-and-white plaid dress is paired with a white apron featuring spade and diamond patterns, a white bunny-shaped cloth bag hangs at the waist, and a complex black-and-white headpiece adorns the head. To match the character's visual effect, I chose white pantyhose with diamond grid patterns, combined with a pair of black platform Mary Jane shoes, creating an overall look that is cute yet carries a hint of playful sharpness.
The shooting scene for the day was a pre-built macaron-colored kitchen. The pink-and-blue cabinets, pink-and-blue checkered floor tiles, as well as the strawberry cake, blue toaster, and various cute dessert props placed on the wooden countertop. The windows are fitted with wooden shutters, and light filters through the gaps, creating a very warm indoor atmosphere. The wooden shelf on the left holds a yellow plush toy and small boxes printed with English letters, and the walls are plastered with dessert posters and cartoon pendants. These details give the entire space more of a daily-life feel and enhance the sense of immersion during the shoot.
Since the post mentioned 'little cat climbing up to tear down your kitchen,' I intentionally made the poses more lively during action design. When sitting on the edge of the countertop, both legs are naturally crossed and dangling, which not only gives the skirt hem a better display space but also allows the white stockings and Mary Jane shoes to occupy appropriate proportions in the frame. For hand gestures, two approaches were tried: one where hands are crossed in front of the chest to create an illusion of being well-behaved, and another where hands are spread outward to both sides with a slightly tilted chin to increase tension in the frame. As a coser, I constantly communicated camera heights and angles with the photographer, who was a Huizhou female photographer. Because sitting postures can easily look stiff, it required maintaining a stable center of gravity while relaxing the lines of the shoulders and arms. The photographer found angles from the side, utilizing rim lighting to create edge lighting, making the highlights on the hair strands and white stockings appear more translucent.
In terms of makeup, the base makeup was kept clean, with focus placed on the blending of the eye makeup. After wearing blue-gray circle lenses, pink and red eyeshadows were used around the eyes to create a natural transition, making the gaze appear more agile. The wig is a flaxen-colored long straight hair, with neat bangs trimmed to a suitable length. After wearing the complex headpiece, its position needed to be adjusted repeatedly to ensure no props were revealed from any angle before the lens.
The color tone of the entire photoset leans warm, featuring high saturation without being dazzling, which complements the various colorful props in the scene. From set design and costumes to poses, every step leaned toward a 'sweet-and-cool' direction, hoping to present the character's lively feel of a little mischief maker in the kitchen. From preliminary preparation to the completion of the shoot, the overall rhythm of this set was very comfortable, and it also experimented with high-angle compositions that are not commonly used, serving as a solid creative record.
