During the CICF night outdoor shoot, photographer Brother Huan and I completed this set of Genshin Impact Nilou "Dance of Sabzeruz" outdoor photos.

In reality, preparing the makeup and styling for this character involved considerable effort. The long, straight red wig required patient combing to prevent frizz and ensure natural drape for the bangs and loose hair, anchoring the character's iconic visual look. Although the black-and-gold horns on the headpiece were lightweight, maintaining stability during movement was essential. To convey the vibe of a Vision bearer, I specifically opted for a clear, fair base makeup, focusing on eye contour definition paired with blue-green colored contacts to impart an ethereal gaze. The red tattoo on my back was created using water-transfer decals reinforced with retouching, preserving complete clarity in the rear shot of photo 2.

The outfit features rich design details: a midriff-baring cropped top layered with semi-sheer paneled tulle water sleeves, maintaining an ethereal aesthetic without constraining arm movement. The blue-and-white gradient skirt on the lower body is flanked by dangling orange and blue tassels that sway gently with every step. Golden arm cuffs, neck ornaments, and lace-up high-heeled sandals wrapping to the ankles serve as key highlights of the ensemble. The thick soles of the sandals visually elongate leg proportions while providing standing stability on uneven outdoor ground.

This Outdoor shoot was set on the exterior stone steps at CICF during the night session. Brother Huan specifically utilized off-camera flash units for lighting. While a pitch-black night environment poses a lighting challenge, it allowed the main light to focus squarely on the subject, softly highlighting skin texture while crushing the background into pure black for exceptionally clean CICF event photos.

The shoot required frequent adjustments to poses and positioning. To simulate the elegance of her dance, arm sweeps needed expressive extension while fingertips guided the viewer's gaze. The glance back and hand gesture in photo 1 capture dynamic movement in a singular instant, while post-processed blue water streams and splashing droplet effects infuse magic into the static frame. Photos 2 and 3 feature more expansive dance postures; when raising my arms and looking upward, my eyes followed my fingertips into the distance as my torso and legs formed an elegant twisting arc. Coordinating light angles with the photographer while continually tweaking my wig and skirt details was tiring, but bringing out the aura of dancing in the night wind was deeply immersive.

Participating in an Outdoor shoot for Convention photos to recreate characters through cosplay is an immersive experience in itself. Sharing these Dance of Sabzeruz images, I hope the cool blue-and-white color scheme and ethereal sprite charm bring a moment of night serenity.
