[Misono Mika cosplay] A dreamy moment falling into a sea of pure white flowers

This time shooting Blue Archive's Misono Mika, the core visual idea was built around a sea of white flowers and a sense of falling. In the preparation stage, a lot of thought went into the details of the costume. To match the character's setting, the wig was chosen as a long style with a pink-purple gradient effect, and treated with a high-crown root-perm volumizing process, so that when shooting lying down, the scattered hair would appear full and layered. In terms of makeup, besides the daily translucent base makeup, the eye makeup part specially chose amber-colored contact lenses to brighten the gaze. The red linear mark on the cheek is the finishing touch, which needs to be drawn both clearly and naturally without looking stiff.

In terms of clothing, the white dress is paired with a blue bow, and the giant white feather wings on the back were a difficulty. The colored star and dot decorations on the wings were hand-glued one by one. To ensure a three-dimensional effect in front of the lens, the weight of the wings also had to be considered so that the character wouldn't feel extreme discomfort when lying down. The White stockings worn on the legs also have corresponding red marks. This up-and-down echoing detail treatment can enhance the overall visual completeness a lot.

The scene setup was equally time-consuming. To create a sense of being surrounded by a sea of flowers, a large amount of white roses and fine matching flowers were laid out on site. To ensure a unified picture tone, some blue-gray plant branches and leaves were interspersed in the background. Lying in the flower bushes is not as easy as it looks in the photos. The branches and leaves of the flowers can prick, and I needed to find a force-bearing point that could both show a natural posture and not be excessively interfered with by branches and leaves.

During shooting, an overhead angle was adopted to make the body present a diagonal composition, which can elongate the visual proportions while highlighting a quiet and fragile temperament. In terms of lighting, cool-toned soft light was used this time, making the highlight parts look translucent as much as possible and avoiding strong shadows, thereby strengthening that unreal fairy-tale feeling. The position of the pink ring prop was also repeatedly adjusted to ensure that hanging above the head could create a halo-like effect.

When shooting the second close-up, what was mainly tested was the gaze and a sense of interaction. To express the character's ethereal state, I tried extending my hand forward with my gaze fixed directly on the lens. At this time, the depth of field becomes shallow, the foreground flowers are blurred, and the audience's attention will be focused on facial expressions and hand movements. Every time adjusting the posture, one must consider the spreading state of the wings and the occlusion relationship of the flowers. Although the whole process is static photography, the physical consumption is no less than an action sequence. Hopefully through the stacking of these details, friends who like this character can feel this quiet atmosphere belonging to the sea of flowers.
