In this European retro style study steeped in vintage ambiance, I completed a tea party-themed photoshoot for Sandrone Cosplay from Genshin Impact. The set dressing was arranged with meticulous care: dark emerald-green walls paired with crimson velvet drapes, an intricately carved solid wood desk, a leather sofa, a golden sunburst wall ornament, and a vintage desk lamp, creating the illusion of stepping right into an aristocratic manor. To align with this tea party concept, preparing the costume and props took considerable time. The details of this attire are exceptionally elaborate: a corset design with a white base and black piping, centered with an ornament framed in gold and inlaid with ruby gems, perfectly balanced by puff sleeves and black gloves. The lower half features cascading tiers of dark skirts whose fabric casts a gorgeous luster in motion. Paired with pure White stockings and glossy black high heels, standing before the dark wooden cabinet created sharp color contrasts that tightly focused the visual attention of the composition.

Throughout the shoot, I explored various poses and prop interactions. Composing the shot with an ornate golden picture frame was an ingenious touch, establishing a captivating frame-within-a-frame effect. Perching on the edge of the wooden cabinet with legs crossed accentuated the rich layers of the skirt and the sleek leg lines extended by the White stockings, while keeping my torso upright anchored the visual balance. Poring over a book with a magnifying glass or sitting before the desk cradling a delicate teacup—these nuanced micro-actions infused the photographs with narrative depth. The prop crew decorated the desk with red roses, vintage teacups, and even an armillary sphere and globe, which immensely enriched the scene's visual storytelling in this Anime-style photography session.

The weather was lovely that day, with soft natural daylight filtering through the curtains. The photographer complemented this with a warm yellow vintage desk lamp as the key light, using side-backlight to catch rim light across the edges of my hair and cuffs, greatly enhancing the three-dimensional depth of the entire frame. To find the optimal angles, we repeatedly shifted furniture between the desk and sofa, adjusting the lamp's brightness to ensure the facial planes were well-illuminated without losing the subtle gradations of shadow.

Regarding makeup and the wig, the light brown long curly hair was styled with trimmed tendrils to flatter the jawline, while a small white ruffle-trimmed bonnet atop the head elevated the character's delicate refinement. The eye makeup used reddish blending paired with blue contacts, conveying focused intensity and an aura of mystique in close-up portraits. Although navigating such an intricate costume and holding poses was somewhat tiring—such as constantly adjusting standing stances to preserve the skirt's flaring silhouette—the richness of the garments was showcased to perfection against the dark wood furniture and velvet backdrop. Seeing the interwoven details of light and shadow in the final shots made every effort deeply rewarding. Classical, ornate opulence has always been a style I yearned to try; combining the character's poise with the quiet serenity of the environment through the concept of a tea party made for a truly delightful shoot.
