[Columbina Cosplay] Genshin Impact: Damselette cosplay Dreamy style photoshoot for Birthday

I just finished retouching this Columbina Cosplay photoshoot from Genshin Impact, which serves as a slightly belated keepsake for turning 33 a week ago. In truth, the older one gets, the less one feels inclined to celebrate birthdays, yet being able to continually pursue what I loved as a child feels genuinely wonderful.

This styling holds an incredible wealth of detail. The wig features a black-and-pink split dye; beyond shaping the blunt straight bangs, the white crisscross ribbons on both sides had to be anchored securely. The pair of white wing headpieces atop my head was custom-crafted by an indie artisan; to ensure they looked ethereal while retaining crisp structural integrity, we adjusted the materials and mounting mechanics multiple times. For makeup, to align with the demeanor of Damselette cosplay, I specifically selected violet contact lenses with soft pink blending around the eyes, aiming to make the gaze gentle and serene.

The garment's layering is also exceptionally rich: blue-and-white patterned fabrics interlaced with crisscrossing white ties, centered by a silver crescent-moon metal piece at the waist that serves as the crowning touch. On shooting day, crisscrossing white ribbons wrapped around my legs, paired with clear-soled lace-up sandals; navigating the set always had me cautious not to step on the skirt hem.

The butterfly cake prop held in hand was another delicate work of craftsmanship. The blue-purple ombré glaze across the cake surface, the clear acrylic dome, and those glowing purple butterflies—every nuance was crafted to faithfully recreate the original design. Lettering printed on the pedestal added a touching sense of ceremony upon closer inspection. To give the butterflies a weightless, floating suspension above the cake, I built a support structure using fine wire and clear acrylic sheeting.

The set design also involved tremendous dedication. A purple backdrop was anchored by an enormous white crescent moon, bordered by white lilies and glowing orbs, while suspended holographic laser stars refracted rainbow highlights under the studio illumination. Though hunting for the right angle while perching on the moon prop for extended takes left my feet aching, seeing the final images made every moment worthwhile.

At 33, still diving deep into wigs, makeup, prop crafting, and photography might be perplexing to some, but I enjoy every second of it. Age is merely a number; retaining an untainted passion and carving out one's own sanctuary within the 2D world is truly precious. I hope to always have the energy to continue pursuing these joys in future Genshin Impact cosplay projects.
