The early-stage scene setup, costume, makeup, and props preparation are often the most energy-consuming parts of the entire photoset. This time, instead of choosing the conventional cold, solemn Cryo style, we leaned toward a soft, dreamy, and ethereal feel. For the costume, a blue and white ethereal style gradient haute couture texture tulle dress was selected. The ruffles at the neckline and the off-the-shoulder design allow the collarbone lines to be presented naturally. The small pink bow embellishing the waist breaks the restraint of the cold tones, adding a touch of playfulness to the details. The tulle of the skirt hem is lightweight and flowing, giving a great sense of airiness when walking.

The wig was specially chosen to have a silver-gray, bluish texture, paired with blunt bangs and hime-cuts on both sides, recreating that cool yet slightly well-behaved vibe of the character. The headpiece adopted transparent flowers and gradient blue bead strands, giving a translucent refraction under the light without appearing top-heavy. To fit the overall macro-environment, a vintage black-and-white checkered floor was built on set, and European-style black-and-white ironwork pillars with chain decorations were placed in the background. The massive blue Roman numeral clock was the highlight of the scene, instantly making the image's narrative sense full and rich. The ground was covered with blue and white hydrangeas and green plant vines, making the layers of the scene richer and preventing it from being too monotonous.

In terms of movement design, a blue-and-gold folding fan was specially used as a prop this time. The sharp lines of the folding fan contrast with the soft flow of the tulle dress. Slightly raising the shoulders while holding the folding fan optimizes the shoulder and neck lines, making them look more extended. During the shoot, I tried various postures, such as a side-view looking back, lightly lifting a single leg, and some fixed-point compositions. The single-leg standing movement elongates the body's sense of extension, and paired with the light blue ribbon laces on the legs, it makes the proportions look visually superior. The lighting technician adopted a high-key, bright, wide-aperture lighting setup this time, maintaining a fair, clear, and translucent skin tone texture while avoiding deliberately darkening the background, thus preserving the layers of the background clock and iron pillars.

For post-processing, a lot of work was done mainly on color unification. The overall image maintains a low-saturation, blue-and-white cold color tone, allowing all elements to blend relatively naturally. Without over-sharpening or heavy skin smoothing, the texture of the clothing creases and the lightweight feel of the tulle were preserved in their original state. The final photo results indeed achieved the expectations set during the design phase. This non-traditional interpretation not only retains the character's core traits but also incorporates my own understanding of this look. Personally, I quite like the liveliness brought by the stray hair strands and the petal hair accessories, and I hope to try the wonderful chemical reactions of more different scenes next time.
