The costume for this shoot is Ruan Mei's classic styling. After getting the clothes, the first thing I noticed was the layering of the fabric texture; the upper body uses a lot of white lace and light gauze, paired with light pink petal decorations, and the combination of the green gemstone and golden accessories at the neckline is the visual focal point. To restore the effect in the game, the wig uses long curly hair with blue-black highlights, and an intricate updo styling was specially crafted. The high-slit design of the outfit visually lengthens the proportions, and the inner white shorts ensure mobility during the shoot while avoiding accidental exposure. To match this traditional Chinese style cosplay outfit, a lot of thought went into the shooting location set design. Wood-carved screens, round moon gates, classical scrolls, and white porcelain tea sets on the table—these elements combined to create a space with a strong classical Eastern atmosphere. In terms of props, the blue and gold instrument was extremely eye-catching, and the golden hollow decorations and pink embellishments on it echoed the costume perfectly. During the shoot, I tried a folding fan and a translucent oiled-paper umbrella; using the fan to half-cover the face or holding an umbrella while looking back are very classic body languages in traditional Chinese style cosplay photography, which can greatly enrich the layers of the frame. During the shooting process, I paid special attention to the expression of limb lines. The upper body of this outfit is relatively dignified, but the lower body is a high-slit long dress, so both standing and sitting postures need to balance the tension of the frame with the character's personality setting. For example, in the cover photo sitting by the wooden table, I chose to sit sideways with crossed legs; this posture not only showcased the blue high heels and the pearl chains at the ankles, but also allowed the skirt hem to drop naturally, making the leg lines look relatively slender under the outline of the light, with the visual center relatively concentrated. At the same time, I held a slender black prop in my hand to gently touch my lower lip, maintaining a detached expression, trying to find a balance between dignity and a slightly lazy state. In terms of lighting and shadow setup, the photographer adopted high-contrast lighting, making the main light very three-dimensional, capturing the luster of the blue satin dress and the texture of the white lace very clearly, while slightly darkening the background to make the character pop out from the antique scene. The overall shooting rhythm went very smoothly, and the effect of the finished photos met expectations. Whether it is the restoration of costume details or the immersion of the entire scene, this is a shoot that I have been very satisfied with recently.
