Cosplaying March 7th this time was such an absolute blast for getting into character! Just hearing the running jokes mentioned in the post about fighting Fu Hua or not being able to beat the Marshal gives you an idea of how hilariously fun the set was. From the fitting session to the actual shoot, a great deal of prep went into capturing that energetic and slightly cheeky charm. I specifically reached out to @我在喵屋做假发 to customize and groom the wig—the pink double buns with that bold red streak, along with the cowlick on top and the curved bangs framing the face, took rounds of trimming and shaping. Once it was on, the character's spirit genuinely came alive. To keep the styling pristine throughout shooting, hairspray and fixing spray were kept on hand at all times.

The outfit features incredible layering: a wide-sleeved coat in black and red paired with a blue obi-style sash, complemented by floral waist ornaments and metallic leg accessories that add rich detail. The inner black base layer and outer red coat use different fabric textures, catching the light with a natural, high-end sheen. Wearing this meant the corset and back straps had to be pulled tight to sculpt a form-fitting silhouette. To liven up the composition, we prepped a bright red skewer of candied hawthorns and a sheathed longsword as props. During the shoot, we kept memeing endlessly—our minds were totally filled with 'Master, we can't beat the Marshal!' To convey the character's agility, many poses involved single-leg lifts and mid-air leaps. Rocking White stockings with black platform shoes meant being extra mindful of balance during movement, while continuously straightening the stocking folds, leg straps, and thigh rings so the resulting visual punch and absolute territory popped with clean sharpness.

For makeup, ice-blue lenses amplified the anime aesthetic, paired with deepened eyeliner, subtle shimmers around the inner eye corners and tear troughs, and highlighters to ensure the eyes looked bright and crystal-clear. The shoot was held in a spacious modern interior: soaring vaulted ceilings and reflective floors provided gorgeous ambient fill, while wide apertures blurred the background to make the subject pop. Facing the camera, I cycled through micro-expressions—wide-eyed surprise, cheeky winks, and intense focus when sheathing the sword. For photography and posing direction, massive thanks to @DWVVVV for the dynamic captures. Action snapshots require impeccable timing: for instance, the shot kneeling on one knee with the sword demanded catching the precise moment the tassel draped while my hand engaged with force. Even though the props carried noticeable weight, the final shots made every bit worth it. The best part of cosplaying is embodying a fictional character in reality while sharing laughs and memes with everyone. The world is one giant March 7th—capturing this pure joy through the lens, I truly hope this energy reaches you all!
