[Shiroko Sunaookami Cosplay] Blue Archive: Enjoying the Youthful Aura of Sports in the Equipment Room

Putting on this gym uniform and stepping into the equipment room, the entire scene instantly carried a sunny, sporty vibe. This time I challenged Shiroko Sunaookami from Blue Archive, specially choosing this sporty style cosplay combination of a gym uniform and a white jacket. The blue-and-white color-blocked neckline and cuffs are not only refreshing but also perfectly fit her usual capable yet casual feel.

While shooting this set of photos, the photographer paid special attention to capturing that natural relaxation during sports intervals. Whether it was the moment of holding a volleyball ready to toss it up, or the gesture of raising a hand while resting on a vaulting box, any stiffness from overly staged posing was deliberately avoided. The props around me were such a huge bonus: old-fashioned wooden gym benches, a stainless steel ball rack, basketballs and volleyballs on the floor, plus the red-and-white scoreboard in the background, instantly maxed out the atmosphere of a school gym equipment room.

We also put a lot of thought into replicating the details of this look. The straight silver-white short hair paired with a light blue cross hairpin, along with the signature animal ears and floating blue halo, are all highly recognizable elements of Shiroko cosplay. To complement the crispness of this sportswear, the makeup leaned toward a bright and natural texture, and the expression in the eyes tried best to present her cool-exterior yet warm-interior personality. During the shoot, I also held a bottle of electrolyte drink as a prop; snapshotting the action of drinking water subtly created an instant feeling of having just finished intense exercise, and this everyday feel made it all the more authentic.

The overall lighting was distributed very softly, which not only highlighted the fabric texture of the costume but also rendered the skin tone beautifully translucent. Honestly, it's not easy to capture a clean feeling in a slightly cluttered setting like an equipment room. Huge thanks to the photographer for their control over spatial composition, allowing the various elements of the equipment room to have a sense of layering without overpowering the subject. This gym uniform cosplay and sports jacket gear is actually very comfortable to wear, but to recreate a sense of dynamism, we were constantly adjusting our movements and the placement of props during the shoot. From holding up the volleyball to a squatting pose hugging the ball, and then to drinking water from a side profile, we tried several angles for each action, hoping to fully display Shiroko's side as a sporty girl.
