[Sangonomiya Kokomi Cosplay] Kokomi Bunny Suit, My Little Kokomi Is Definitely No Soft Target - Image 2

This shoot of Sangonomiya Kokomi in a bunny suit was initially conceived right when I got the character design sheet. Sangonomiya Kokomi in Genshin Impact is inherently an intellectual character full of strategic wisdom, and adding the 'bunny' element this time creates a very cute sense of contrast. Based on the name 'Kokomi Bunny' in the post, I decided that the overall coloring should not only retain the signature Sangonomiya blue-purple tones from Genshin Impact, but also incorporate softer colors to express the 'bunny' element. Furthermore, the phrase 'My little Kokomi is definitely no soft target' perfectly captures the gap-moe trait of a character who appears delicate on the surface but is actually masterminding everything, which is exactly the feeling I wanted to convey through this cosplay.

In terms of costume preparation, this Kokomi bunny suit heavily tests the texture of the fabrics. The main color scheme consists of large areas of ivory white and deep blue, paired with a multi-layered pearl necklace. The neck design not only elongates the neck line but also beautifully accentuates the collarbone and shoulder silhouette. Complemented by a dark blue bow tie and cascading pearl strands, it brings out the character's noble and dreamy aura. The cuffs feature fluffy white puff sleeves adorned with dark blue bows, echoing the overall blue and white color palette. The lower body is a light purple skirt hem, which takes on a fluid water-ripple texture under the lights, perfectly fitting Sangonomiya Kokomi's setting as a Hydro character.

Of course, the makeup, styling, and wig are also crucial guarantees for accuracy. The hair color is primarily peach pink, with a light blue gradient applied to the tips. This wig requires meticulous styling to display a natural curve. The bangs are styled slightly thick and rounded, which, paired with the small hair accessories on both sides of the hairstyle, achieves a visual balance resembling both bunny ears and a dynamic young girl. For makeup, I selected blue-purple colored contacts that closely match the character's eye color. The eyeshadow palette also focuses on youthful pink and light blue, striving to present a 'Kokomi Bunny' with a clear, intelligent gaze, yet carrying a somewhat harmless aura.

During the photography process, the choice of lighting and environment was also critical. I chose a dark-toned studio backdrop, utilizing a key light and a side light to create a three-dimensional look for the figure. In the half-body shot of Photo 1, with her hand gently propping up her chin and her gaze slightly lowered, it portrays Kokomi's state during calm contemplation. Meanwhile, after meticulous lighting, the satin material of the outfit elegantly showcases a pearl-like luster. In the processing of Photo 2, I also did some secondary 2D graphic editing, incorporating her lively chibi version and official illustration to fill in the blank spaces. This takes the photo a step further from pure role-playing, adding an interesting sense of 'the intersection of 2D and 3D.'

Looking at the costume design, this outfit actually contains many delicate settings. The off-the-shoulder design showcases skin texture while being paired with short gloves, looking courteous yet maintaining a sense of freedom. The beads on the bracelet were also thoughtfully chosen in pink and blue colors that match the character's representative colors. When wearing the outfit and posing, I also paid special attention to angles, creating a fluid visual guidance for the viewer's eyes among the necklace, hands, and lower skirt hem.

As a creator who frequently shoots cosplay, I deeply understand that to portray a character well, one cannot merely put on the costume. The character of Sangonomiya Kokomi functions like a strategist in the game, gentle in personality but firm inside. Before the shoot, I intentionally reviewed the relevant storylines, wanting to capture her dignity as the 'Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island' while not losing the lively side of a young girl. Therefore, in this set of event photos of the Kokomi bunny suit, I tried to express her through different expressions. For instance, looking up slightly at the camera shows a sense of confidence; looking down and playing with her bracelet shows a sense of gentleness; and all these states fit the positioning of this outfit beautifully.

This Genshin Impact Creator Incentives program was also a major driving force pushing me to complete this piece. Throughout this process, I paid attention to a series of details ranging from the complex accessories to the layering of the skirt hem. I believe that excellent cosplay is a brand-new interpretation of the original work; through costumes and movements, we give life to 2D characters in the real world. Although the entire process was exhausting—not only overcoming the weight of the costume but also paying attention to expression management—the moment I saw the final photos, all the effort felt completely worth it.

In the future, I will continue to refine my makeup, styling, and post-processing techniques, hoping to bring more excellent works to everyone. This set of event photos maintains a nice, realistic texture and excellently highlights the original design intention of the costume. Whether shared on my personal social platforms or expressed as the passion of a Genshin Impact player, this is a set of work that I love very much.
