[Furina Cosplay] Genshin Impact 5th Anniversary Offline Event Visit: Full Record of Blue-and-White Outfit Recreation

This outfit, which naturally carries a slightly gorgeous yet playful feel, actually took a lot of thought during the early preparation stages. Especially to coordinate with this Genshin Impact 5th anniversary offline event, I made a point to start styling the wig and checking small accessories a week in advance. The original character design elements are actually quite rich, possessing both a light, flowing texture and intricate layering. When cosplaying this outfit, I focused heavily on balancing the color blocks.

First, regarding the head, the silver-grayish-white short hair is a striking part of this look. When styling, I repeatedly adjusted the curves of the bangs and sideburns several times to ensure the hair ends had a natural flare without making the overall hair look overly puffy. Paired with that small hair ornament on top, it pulled the visual center of gravity for the upper body together nicely while echoing the colors of the outfit below. In fact, this type of short wig is more prone to blowing around in the wind than long hair, so I used styling products to ensure it maintained its shape during the shoot.

Next is the tailoring of the outfit. This light blue and white top and skirt heavily tested the choice of fabric and stitching. The puff sleeves and bowtie on the upper body guaranteed the sweetness of the overall look, while the wide dark blue corset at the waist served as the backbone of the entire ensemble. The firmness and edging of the corset were very solid, not only visually narrowing the waistline but also providing a great layer transition for the outfit. The blue-and-white paneling puff skirt on the lower half looks casual, but the lace trim at the hem and the white wave patterns provide wonderful detailed supplements to the blue color palette. Considering the heavy foot traffic at the offline event venue, the skirt design ensured I could move freely without easily tripping over it.

The accessories across the whole outfit are also very interesting, including the neckline pendant and the bows on the skirt. These bright small items easily reflect light under illumination, so during cosplay photography, I had to constantly mind my standing angles to prevent excessive glare from causing uneven exposure in the camera frame.

As for makeup, I opted for a clean and translucent base paired with light blue eyeshadow to complement the cool tones of the outfit. The focus of the eye makeup was highlighting the inner corners to make the gaze appear clearer, which, combined with well-defined individual lashes, enlarged the eyes nicely so my presence wouldn't feel thin when shooting in a relatively spacious exhibition hall. For lip makeup, I chose a low-saturation mauve shade to maintain the overall fresh, translucent look without overpowering the rest.

Speaking of the blue decorative umbrella used for shooting, it is truly a fantastic styling weapon. Not only does it serve as a prop that embellishes the frame, but in crowded areas, it also helps isolate a little safe space for you. The white flower decorations on the umbrella canopy coordinate seamlessly with the overall blue-and-white theme. Tilting it slightly in hand or gently touching the tip against the ground helps prevent standing poses in photos from looking stiff.

Regarding the shoot itself, posing in front of a backdrop filled with large celebration cakes and balloon elements brought quite a bit of pressure, because the overhead venue lights were extremely bright, easily creating harsh shadows under the eyelids and nose wings. Therefore, I had to repeatedly adjust my chin height and gaze direction to find subtle angles that avoided direct overhead lighting. In the first photo, I chose a slightly angled stance to let my leg lines extend naturally, paired with white over-the-knee socks and chunky platform heels, maintaining the character's elegant state while ensuring comfort for walking around the 2D event all day.

I originally planned to shoot a set with more dynamic poses, but because the crowd at the offline event was even larger than expected and there were many visitors in the background, I gave up on big movements with shallow depth of field in favor of cleaner shots with relatively neat positioning. These two photos basically captured the light blue tone of the outfit, the sleekness of the corset, and the light qualities of the skirt. Although the character herself possesses a proud and confident temperament, and I tried to integrate this confident posture during the shoot, holding the umbrella and wearing slightly heavy shoes ultimately made me look a bit more approachable. Overall, being able to leave a record in an exhibition area so steeped in a festive atmosphere brings a rather perfect conclusion to this Genshin Impact 5th anniversary journey.
