Sharing this time's Genshin Impact Furina cosplay convention photos. Many friends who saw this white and cyan-blue matching dress thought it looked extremely refreshing, especially suitable for the current season. Actually, there are quite a few design details in this outfit worth talking about.

First, let's talk about the costume's structure. The upper body features an off-the-shoulder tube top design with a slight sweetheart neckline treatment, adorned with delicate white ruffles along the edge. This design both frames the neck and shoulder lines and preserves the character's intrinsic sense of elegance. The sleeves are detached off-the-shoulder bubble sleeves in light cyan, creating a warm-and-cold echo with the overall white base. What satisfies me the most is the skirt hem part—the outer layer consists of multi-layered stacked white semi-transparent gauze skirts, with a ring of waterdrop-shaped transparent pendants along the edge. When walking around, or when an outdoor gentle breeze blows past, the rippling of these pendants and the skirt hem carries a water-wave-like flow. The lower body also includes white lace over-the-knee socks paired with light cyan straps, adding some playful elements.

The wig part is one of the cores of this styling. This ultra-long silver-white wig has ice-blue highlights mixed into the hair strands, presenting a clear and translucent luster under the outdoor light of the convention. For the iconic ahoge on top of the head and the blue star-shaped hair accessory on the right side, I deliberately made many fine adjustments regarding accuracy; for instance, the base position of the hair accessory and the volume of the wig were trimmed a second time based on the character concept art. Of course, to make the texture of the long hair more natural, I also experimented with different layering styling methods to avoid looking stiff.

For the makeup, it mainly revolves around being clear, translucent, and agile. The overall skin tone was made as clean and fair as possible, and the eyeshadow utilized relatively soft pink-purple tones, coordinated with light blue contact lenses to add a touch of mystery and moisture. The lip color selected leans toward a natural red, which doesn't steal the show but just happens to brighten the facial complexion.

In terms of accessories, aside from the white feather folding fan in my hand, the black choker and long streamers on the neck are also a finishing touch, with the black-and-white contrast making the visual focus more centralized.

Let's talk about the situation on the day of the shoot. This was shot at a shopping mall or an outdoor venue of the convention. The lighting on set was quite sufficient with a cool white tone, which happened to suit this cool-colored outfit perfectly. The first picture was a candid snapshot holding up the skirt hem; my angle was standing slightly sideways with both arms lifting the skirt, which better showcases the layers of the hem and the flowing feel of the long hair. The second picture was a static pose holding the fan, wanting to capture a quieter atmosphere, so I adjusted the hand placement holding the fan and my body posture.

During the actual shoot, straightening the skirt hem and adjusting the wig indeed took some effort. Especially the waterdrop pendants on the hem easily caught on the gauze, so I had to lift it slightly when walking. However, I am quite satisfied with the final captured effect; the overall flowing feel of this costume shares a relatively high compatibility with the character's temperament. Engaging in casual cosplay is often not just about taking pretty pictures, but rather enjoying the process of preparing and recreating character details via this Anime-style photography.
