[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Anime Style Try-On: Finally Wearing This Blue-and-White Outfit with Staff

Today let's dive straight into the topic and talk about my fitting experience for this Phoebe Cosplay. The character design in Wuthering Waves has always fit the characters' dispositions very well. This time, I tried on Phoebe's classic outfit, and the overall white, blue, and black color combination looks visually very refreshing.

First, let's talk about how the outfit looks in person—it has a strong sense of layering. The white outerwear fabric has a certain degree of crispness, and the black lace trimming on the collar and cuffs retains the character's delicate feel. Large areas of black and gold line paneling are used around the waist and skirt, accompanied by royal blue ribbons and tassels hanging in front, keeping the visual center of gravity stable without feeling top-heavy. The matching large white wide-brimmed hat is quite oversized; while it provides great flair and presence, properly securing it during the fitting required some skill. I used clips to adjust the angle slightly so the brim wouldn't block my line of sight.

As for props, this golden bird-head shaped staff has good weight to it; although it's a cosplay prop, the surface finish and gold paint craftsmanship are quite solid. When holding the staff, one needs to slightly adjust the grip angle to coordinate with the outfit's sleeves and ribbons, as it can otherwise easily get caught on the clothes—a crucial physical adjustment step in an Anime style try-on session. The lower skirt hem and lace edges offer feminine grace, while the white thigh-highs outfit paired with high-heeled white boots elongates the leg lines, making the overall posture look tall and slender. I paid special attention to the black dashed line tattoo on the right thigh, reproducing this detail in photos to add a touch of mystery to the character.

The wig is light golden with layered bangs and side braids that look quite natural together. Although the character's original hair color is slightly lighter, the current wig looks very close under lighting without excessive unnatural reflection. Since this is just a fitting stage, I didn't apply heavy eye makeup, keeping my skin's natural translucent quality to showcase a clean texture for this casual cosplay trial.

This time, I chose to shoot in front of a full-length mirror at home, mainly to ensure even lighting on the clothes and display the true colors of the materials. To make the photos look like natural standing snapshots, I slightly adjusted my posture by keeping my legs apart with weight shifted to one leg while placing the staff upright beside me, effortlessly capturing the character's composed demeanor. Because the full set includes multiple elements like a robe, ribbons, short skirt, and boots, I continually adjusted the waist alignment and shoulder jacket placement during the fitting to make sure the outfit holds its shape even during larger movements.

Although this is only the first round of try-on, the resulting effect has already exceeded my expectations. The tailored cut of this outfit is quite demanding on body proportions, especially the waist and abdomen fit paired with the broad shoulder jacket. The combination of white thigh-highs outfit and boots is also a highlight; the movement of the blue tassels and layered skirt when walking faithfully recreates the character design. I personally value clean yet feature-rich designs, and I'm very satisfied so far. I will continue optimizing wig styling and accessory details for an even better outcome in the upcoming official photoshoot.
