Stepping into the studio built with blue and white tulle and pure white pillars, the first thing that came to mind was this character's somewhat ethereal and serene temperament in the game. Today's shooting theme is The Shorekeeper. To recreate this feeling to the maximum extent, everyone made very thorough preparations the day before, regardless of makeup or costume details.

Speaking of this costume, the most eye-catching part is those semi-translucent lightweight materials on it. The skirt hem has many layers, and the outer layer is a blue and white gradient tulle with a subtle shimmering effect, which refracts different lusters when walking or moving. The inner wear and cutout designs heavily test the tailoring. Especially the silver-white metal chains and bird-shaped metal buckles at the waist and abdomen—we repeatedly adjusted their hanging lengths during positioning to ensure they wouldn't pinch the skin during large movements while visually presenting a casual yet exquisite hanging look. The blue hood on the head paired with the light blue-and-white wig brings an otherworldly sense of lightness. Complemented by those extremely fine semi-translucent threads wrapped around the arms, the entire character's theme of "binding" and "breaking free" is tangibly expressed.

In terms of action design, we didn't intentionally strike those tough combat poses. This look is more suited to showcase a quiet, slightly blurred atmosphere. Poses like holding a butterfly prop, raising the blue streamers, or just gently sitting on a white pillar with elbows resting on the knees can beautifully convey her mysterious yet soft traits. During the shoot, the wig and lightweight tulle were very prone to being messed up by the wind, so the fans in the studio were controlled quite carefully; we relied more on swinging the streamers ourselves to create a sense of motion.

The absolute priority of this shoot lay in light and shadow. Because the overall tone features a blue and white color scheme, it could easily look flat or gray if exposure wasn't handled carefully. The photographer was very meticulous with the studio lighting, using a softbox to create that translucent feel. Especially when capturing half-body close-ups, the catchlight in the eyes was caught perfectly, making the blue pupils look crystal clear. In post-processing, we didn't do any exaggerated skin smoothing or alter the skin texture; we focused more on unifying the color temperature of the blue and white color scheme, ensuring the highlights of the frame didn't clip while preserving the texture of the dress's tulle.

Controlling the details of the costume and props was inseparable from team cooperation. Whether it was the white masquerade mask, the pure white bird ornaments, or the light blue small flowers on the ground and in the background, these were all keys to enriching the frame's layers. After this shoot, my biggest takeaway is that if any element breaks away from the whole, it looks out of place, but everyone integrated everything together, which is why we have this set of final photos you see now.

The biggest challenge in channeling the character's temperament was actually the gaze—that state of mind with a hint of alienation but absolutely no coldness requires one to ponder and figure out. When taking off the costume after the shoot wrapped up, I was indeed filled with a sense of achievement from seriously completing a task. I hope this group of photos from our dreamy photography session allows everyone to see a different side of me.
