Releasing this set of photos right around Rosmontis's birthday can be considered a little surprise I prepared for the character. The day before yesterday, I spent the whole afternoon shooting outdoors under the blazing sun, which, combined with the indoor portion, felt like a non-stop marathon. Looking at the raw shots back home, they indeed looked great. However, when it came to photo editing, dealing with the complex color temperatures of the highlights and ambient light truly drove me crazy repeatedly. No wonder many fellow hobbyists say, "The unedited camera shots look like heaven, but the post-processing is pure hell." This time, I've completely experienced it firsthand.

Let's talk about the styling ideas for this shoot. The main color scheme of Rosmontis's outfit consists of a clear and translucent blue and white. The off-the-shoulder design of the top, combined with cascading ruffles, looks incredibly light and doesn't feel heavy on the shoulders at all. The lower half features a layered skirt with black and white lace patchwork, and along with a large black bow, it brings out a wonderful sense of depth. The tiny crown on top, paired with her cat-ear elements, not only preserves the character's signature look but also adds a touch of liveliness. The black and white wrist guards and the white buckled shoes complete the entire look, preventing it from feeling top-heavy.

As for the shooting scenes, for the indoors, we chose a pure white bed adorned with some floral arrangements, focusing on a clean and translucent vibe to recreate that dreamlike feeling as much as possible. For the outdoors, we opted for a European manor-style setting, featuring white Roman columns, a blue-gray dome, a carefully arranged champagne tower, and a multi-tiered white cake. Since there were plenty of props in this section, the shoot mainly relied on natural light to outline the character's silhouette. I tried my best to relax in front of the lens, leaning against the columns or sitting by the table, hoping to present a tipsy afternoon mood or a casual, laid-back state.

Although my full face couldn't be seen due to certain coverings, I feel that the outfit and styling themselves were enough to convey the atmosphere I wanted to express. The photographer also put a lot of thought into the layering of the foreground and background during composition—such as the champagne glasses, fresh flowers, distant greenery, and castle spires. The interplay of these elements gives the photos a richer narrative feel.

This shoot also gave me a new perspective on handling high-key lighting. It's truly not easy to capture a translucent feel under intense light; reflections on the skin and shadows on the skirt's hem both required very meticulous adjustments. Although the final results aren't as perfect as I had envisioned, and I even joked about "burning myself to ashes" during the long editing process, being able to wear this outfit and preserve memories in such a beautiful setting is incredibly meaningful to me. Finally, I want to wish Rosmontis a happy birthday once again. As one of my favorite operators since I started playing Arknights, being able to celebrate her birthday in my own way makes me extremely happy.

I hope this light afternoon atmosphere brings a bit of a good mood to everyone.
