[Columbina cosplay] Genshin Fes Trip Realized: Sharing On-Site Photoshoot - Image 1

The ticket-grabbing process for this Genshin Fes was quite a rollercoaster, but the final outcome was extremely satisfying. I successfully secured tickets for the 2nd during the first wave of sales, and then managed to snag tickets for the 3rd in the second wave. This means I can fully participate in the core schedule of the entire convention, which is a rare and fulfilling achievement for this cosplay outing.

Since I decided to be at the convention on both days, the choices for costume, makeup, and styling needed even more thorough consideration. This time, I brought a carefully paired Columbina cosplay style design, featuring a main color scheme of white, purple, and blue to convey a translucent feel under soft light. This costume has intricate details—while the wide sleeve bells and complex layered designs look gorgeous, extra attention was needed to balance my center of gravity when walking and posing. In particular, the white cross-straps on the legs had to maintain a slender, hazy visual effect while ensuring comfort for walking around the convention venue all day. For footwear, I specifically selected plush-decorated high heels that match the theme, which beautifully elongated visual proportions when posing against the curved seating set.

Before shooting, I had extensive communication with the photographer @Fan31402. Genshin Fes usually features physical set designs highly fitting the theme, and the crescent-shaped seating paired with blue-and-white flower clusters this time aligned perfectly with Columbina's ethereal, cool, and untainted aura. During the shoot, soft front-side lighting was intentionally used to highlight facial contours, while leveraging diffuse reflections on site to create an effect akin to falling stardust. As for props, a bouquet of pale blue faux flowers served as a visual guide, focusing the center of the frame on character expressions and hand movements. Although the venue was crowded with visitors during shooting, the photographer still captured ideal frozen moments—capturing such details truly tests our tacit teamwork.

The makeup for this look also followed a clean and translucent style without overly intense colors, mainly to emphasize clarity under light and shadow. Meanwhile, in shaping the eyebrows and eye makeup, a subtle touch of coolness and distance was preserved to align the overall image closer to the character's lore. However, the two-day convention schedule was bound to be very busy, and bringing such a costume in and out required considering changing and storage logistics. Fortunately, dedicated staff members and changing areas were available on site, and along with the understanding of fellow fans nearby, the entire cosplay dressing process went much smoother.

Tomorrow is Day 1 of the convention on the 2nd, and I'll soon meet the long-awaited players and cosplayers. The immersive sense and interactive experience brought by offline conventions are irreplaceable by any flat photo. I hope these photos and the on-site experience become a complete and authentic record of my Genshin Fes journey.
