[Aglaea Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Fitting Log

After receiving this gold dress with its golden branch and leaf color scheme, I repeatedly adjusted the fitting state several times before finally daring to post it for everyone to see. The overall silhouette of the outfit follows a design that leans casual and homey yet remains extremely magnificent. In terms of fabric, the main body selects a cream-white satin material; this kind of fabric offers highly gentle reflection effects during actual shooting, preventing overexposure unlike pure glossy surfaces while still manifesting the premium quality of the gown. Those three-dimensional gold dress relief patterns and textures on the clothing are the main highlight of this cosplay costume, with every single gold thread pressed on by hand, striving to restore that classical yet fantasy-colored texture.

The small white flower on the shoulder serves as an embellishment, perfectly balancing the heavy feeling brought by the gold foil, while the cuff design on the arms connecting black ribbons and metal chains adds a bit of sharp layering. During this cosplay fitting session, I also intentionally put on the matching golden branch and leaf headpiece. Paired with the light blonde wig and the headpiece, the overall atmosphere instantly came alive. To align with the character's serene and elegant temperament, I specifically prepared an apple cider bubble post-processing effect, adding a bit of fun and lifelike playfulness to these fitting photos.

Originally, this fitting was just intended to quietly record the clothing details and the upper body look, but my cat at home suddenly came over to join the fun. Since the fitting environment that day was relatively relaxed, I just went with the flow and picked it up. He is quite brave by nature; when I held him in my arms, he didn't struggle at all, and even squinted his eyes somewhat impatiently while burrowing into my embrace, so I cooperated with him to take this set of photos. Just as I mentioned in the post, although the kitty looks like he is lying down quietly, this kind of cosplay fitting process accompanied by pet interaction makes it incredibly difficult to keep the clothes smooth and maintain a good posture—often, a heavy cat tail suddenly drapes over my hand or shoulder.

The tailoring and length of this costume are extremely form-fitting for me. Because adjusting angles requires a large amount of arm movement, those complex golden flower decorations and chains on the cuffs must be fixed very securely, otherwise they can easily snag the fabric. During the fitting process, I was caught more than once by the golden pendants on the cuffs and loose threads on the clothes, but fortunately, the wear resistance of this fabric is pretty good. I intentionally trimmed the bangs of the wig to better fit my face shape; even though chibi obscuring stickers were used in the pictures, in terms of the actual physical experience, the weight of the wig and the sturdiness of the inner cap directly affect the overall fitting experience.

For cosplay works, the fitting phase is often more authentic than the final official shoot and better reflects the texture of the work in real life. I often feel that through these fitting photos coupled with casual little pet interaction, fans can feel a more vibrant atmosphere outside the character itself. Before shooting this set of photos, I specially ironed out the wrinkles on the clothes to ensure that those golden thread patterns could showcase their best luster under the indoor, slightly cool-toned lighting. When holding the kitten, the drape of this gold dress changes due to the lifting of my arms, and the three-dimensional flowers and golden armbands on the cuffs also sway gently with the movements, looking highly vivid.

All in all, this was a highly pleasant and authentic fitting record. The craftsmanship and material of the clothes left me completely satisfied. Being able to bring the dignified and elegant image from the game into reality and present it through a daily perspective and pet interaction is, I believe, a highly warm way of sharing. This time, the light golden hair strands paired with the light-colored skirt dress, along with the cat's sudden intrusion, will surely bring everyone a sense of quietness distinct from grandiose scenes.
