Putting on this school uniform version of the Iron Cavalry of Glamoth and standing on the open-air stadium bleachers, the wind gently blows through the tips of my hair. I suddenly think how wonderful it would be if things could always stay like this. Choosing an outdoor real-life location this time instead of the enclosed feeling of studio shoots, the natural light spills over the grey-and-white plaid skirt and white sailor collar, perfectly capturing the character's daily life side. This style of Casual cosplay brings out a wonderfully refreshing feeling.
The wig is a customized silver-white base with a teal gradient, and the bow and hair accessories on top have been reinforced to ensure they won't fold over in the wind. The metallic "Firefly" nameplate on the chest and the four-leaf clover embroidery are the highlights, and the gold thread decorations on the cuffs are all perfectly in place. During the shoot, I deliberately adjusted my standing posture and how I held the bouquet to let the pleats of the skirt fall naturally. Paired with a brown leather backpack and dark loafers, the overall vibe is exactly like strolling around after school.
Actually, the tailoring of this outfit is very particular; the cropped top just reveals the waistline, looking neat and refreshing. I've tried wearing the mecha-style combat suit before, but it always felt too heavy. Now, holding a bouquet and carrying a bag like this feels like the version of herself she longs for the most deep down inside. In post-processing, I retained the natural texture of the skin and only slightly unified the tones to make the entire frame more translucent, because I feel the character's inherent gentleness is far more moving than heavy filters. Every time I do a Firefly cosplay, I think about how much helplessness there is in the character's story. Therefore, being able to interpret her ordinary side in my own way makes me feel truly happy. I hope everyone enjoys these outdoor updates as much as my usual convention photos through this journey of Anime-style photography from Honkai: Star Rail!
