This shoot in the European-style study at Xiamu Studio was a complete recreation of Sandrone's quiet afternoon tea. Preparing for this Marionette look took quite a bit of effort beforehand. Starting with the attire, the color palette of wine red, white, black, and gold feels richly layered and detailed—from the metallic cross-star adornment across the chest to the cascading ruffles along the cuffs, every element was faithfully matched. The costume was meticulously ironed before shooting to ensure it looked its absolute best, and the choice of petticoat was adjusted multiple times to give the skirt pleats a more natural flare. As for the wig, the blonde twin-tails were paired with custom lace-trimmed hair ornaments. To maintain volume and silkiness, I kept combing through the strands throughout the shoot and secured stray flyaways with hairspray. For the eye makeup, the blue lenses were especially emphasized to evoke an inorganic, doll-like gaze, and the blush placement was reworked several times to capture the exact look from the original character art.

To complement the European study setting, I designed a full series of interactive poses. For instance, sitting on the dark-brown leather sofa while leafing through a deep-blue prop book—the texture of the spine matched the vintage aesthetic, and downcast eyes during reading naturally conveyed the right mood. In other shots, holding an exquisite bone china teacup and saucer for a gentle sip brought out that quiet, enigmatic poise. For props, I brought along a bouquet of blooming white lilies; set before the sunflower oil painting in the background, the pure white of the lilies contrasted strikingly with the deep red of the skirt, photographing wonderfully. In full-body sitting shots on the sofa with leg close-ups in White stockings and heeled Mary Janes, extra care was taken with the precise placement of the garter bands and the sheer texture of the stockings. The angle of the legs and the extension of the pointed toes were refined again and again to highlight the leg line and evoke that delicate, porcelain-doll quality. The photographer's lighting was brilliant: warm amber shafts filtering through window blinds and the soft fringe glow from a floor lamp filled the room with rich mood, while subtle foreground bokeh gave the compositions room to breathe. For the shots browsing books before the towering shelves, I shifted my stance slightly relative to the light so my profile and the golden embroidery across the front of the dress were highlighted together, with the hardcover volume and wooden library ladder lending a lovely touch of scholarly elegance. The entire shoot felt like an immersive character experience; from subtle expressions to controlled posture, I thoroughly enjoyed this quiet afternoon in a classical library, and I hope these photos share that same serene, exquisite ambiance with you.
