[Yuitsuka Inori Cosplay] First Cosplay Fitting and Wig Try-On Record for Kung Fu Narcissus Look

This record is mainly for the Cosplay fitting and Wig try-on of Yuitsuka Inori in her Kung Fu Narcissus look from Medalist. Because the costume was sent to my home while the wig remained in my school dorm, I couldn't wear them together. Therefore, I could only conduct simple preliminary try-ons separately in two parts, recording my current bare-faced state.

First, let's talk about the costume (refer to Photo 1). The actual color of this mint-green dress is very fresh, and the small circular pendant at the neckline sits right below the collarbone, making it a prominent eye-catcher. There are also white translucent small flower appliqués and golden accents on the chest, with details richer than expected. The sleeves are white translucent puff sleeves with a slight fluffiness, paired with matching long pleated sleeve covers that bring out the layered depth of the overall look. The waist-cinching design paired with the matching belt and the crisp dark blue side waist panel serve as the structural support of the entire garment. However, putting it on made me truly realize the challenges of being a plus-size cosplayer. Despite trying my best with chest binding, my upper body still looks a bit bulky from the side. There isn't much leeway in the waist area, and standing up straight feels slightly tight, making me admire cosplayers who can carry off such costumes so airily and beautifully even more. The skirt hem features a pleated design that reveals the white inner lining edge—short and playful, though it sets relatively higher demands for leg lines.

Next, let's talk about the wig (refer to Photo 2). Since the costume and wig were in two different places, I took a picture wearing just the wig over an everyday white T-shirt during the Wig try-on. This reddish-brown short wig truly surprised me. The hairstyle is a layered short shaggy cut with noticeable flicked-out ends, and the bangs are meticulously styled. When I opened the package for the first time, the overall fluffiness was already great; the hair strands felt smooth without any cheap plastic sheen. The wig stylist's craftsmanship is fantastic—not only is there ample hair volume, but the styling set is also done very well; a quick stroke with fingers easily yields a nice silhouette. Although a couple of flyaways stuck out when I put it on, a little hairspray will fix them during the official shoot, which doesn't affect my high praise for it at all.

I was truly very fortunate throughout the preparation process. I met two wonderful people: one is a wig stylist with superb craftsmanship and super affordable prices, who not only did an amazing job on the wig but was also very smooth to communicate with. The other is a tailor—because I didn't know much about this before, I almost got scammed. Luckily, I met this kind tailor who not only helped me avoid traps but also proactively gave me a discount. I am truly grateful for their help and support!

Although it is currently just a simple, bare-faced Cosplay fitting and Wig try-on without makeup, I feel there is still quite a distance to perfectly recreating this character. The texture of the attire will also need to be enhanced in the upcoming official photos through lighting, angles, and post-processing. Nevertheless, having taken the first step, further improvements won't be far off. During this time, I will also practice the character's facial expressions and movements more.
