This Tingyun cosplay outfit finally arrived, so I snapped a few mirror selfies while the lighting was great. There are many Foxian characters in Honkai: Star Rail, and being able to try on this outfit for Tingyun cosplay was truly a wonderful experience.

The moment I unpacked the parcel, the first thing that caught my eye was that pair of fluffy animal ears headpiece. Its craftsmanship was much sturdier than I imagined, requiring careful angle adjustments when worn on top of the head to seamlessly blend with the wig. The wig color is a spliced gradient of dark black and deep red; for the Cosplay fitting, I didn't do any complex styling for now, just simply combing out the layers. Noticeably, subtle glitters were woven into it, glowing softly under the overhead light, which was a huge bonus for details.

Since this is a fitting session, current makeup and hair are not fully complete yet, nor am I wearing specific contact lenses. I mainly wanted to check the pattern and tailoring fit of the outfit on myself first. The color scheme is classic red, white, and black, with large areas of ribbons using a lightweight, draped fabric, while the sleeve cuffs feature a white-to-red gradient dye design. This design creates a very elegant, flowing dynamic effect when walking or holding up the fan, and the material is highly breathable. There is a golden beast-pattern emblem at the waist, complemented by delicate bead strands and long red tassels, giving an overall impression of dignity blended with Xianzhou's unique lively charm.

During the fitting, I first tested the skirt length and belt tightness to ensure it stays neat when standing or turning naturally. The white bead chain on the chest is the finishing touch; I adjusted it to a position that accentuates the neckline without choking. The white boots on my feet have subtle cloud texture patterns, which, paired with shorts and a high-waisted belt, elongate the leg line beautifully. Even though it's just a Cosplay fitting, you can still feel the meticulous structural design of this outfit, with cloth seams hugging the body shape tightly.

I held up the folding fan and took several mirror selfies. The pattern on the fan integrates red, green, white, and black, fitting the character's temperament very well. To better showcase the layers of the outfit, I adjusted my arm posture slightly, letting the water sleeves drape naturally. I recorded both side and front mirror selfie shots to help pinpoint details that need tuning before the official shoot. While adjusting the tightness of the white bead chain around my neck, I noticed its material showed a warm semi-translucent glow under the light; paired with the halter-neck design, the negative space around the shoulders was just right, preventing the red-and-black palette from looking too heavy. The fan prop's skeleton was sturdier than expected, opening and closing smoothly—though included with the costume set, its practicality is top-notch.

A cute cat accidentally made a cameo in the photos, lying on a fluffy blanket soaking up the sun. One closed its eyes and rubbed against my hand obediently, instantly filling the scene with cozy everyday warmth. The blue spiral-patterned bracelet on my wrist was actually an accessory kept for easy movement during fitting, which happened to form a fascinating color contrast with the costume—a fun coincidence. The final shot of the animal ear shadow on the wall was cast by the ear headpiece under overhead lights, looking like another artistic depiction with a unique mood.

This Cosplay fitting photo session was not only to record the actual wearing effect of this outfit, but also to make thorough preparations before an official outdoor shoot. Even for casual phone mirror selfie captures, as long as you put effort into the outfit, you can feel the unique charm brought by the character. For cosplayers, every Cosplay fitting is an essential step to get closer to the character. I feel the cut and design of this Foxian outfit truly captured the essence of Tingyun, and I look forward to bringing it to a more suitable real-world venue later. Although the shooting environment was simple this time—just a regular home bedroom—I believe a genuine home fitting state best reveals the outfit's everyday adaptability and natural aura. This Foxian outfit creates fantastic dynamic movement with its water sleeves and ribbons when walking, a detail that definitely shouldn't be wasted during official shooting.
