[Grinning Professor cosplay] Blue Archive's elegant daily fitting record

After completing the fitting and adjusting all accessories for the Grinning Professor, I stood in front of the indoor wooden wardrobe to capture this full cosplay fitting log. Originally, I just intended to slip into it quickly to check the fit, but once I put on the light golden long wavy wig, donned the black beret, and fixed that vivid, large red bowtie onto the collar, the overall aura shifted completely. As a character in Blue Archive, her in-game image carries a unique composure and intellect, and recreating that ambiance in reality indeed requires starting with the fabric's quality and cut.

The black outfit tested this time features a subtle sheen in its fabric—not cheap cotton without texture, but a material that catches indoor lighting to create a soft reflection. The outer layer is cut like a long trench coat, with a black waist-cinched miniskirt underneath that has a ring of white ruffled lace along the hem. This black-and-white contrast, complemented by the bright red bowtie accent, instantly catches the eye. I tried recording from two different angles. In the first picture, I sat on a small round stool with my legs crossed, making a peace sign. This seated position fully showcases the long coat's drape and hem silhouette, while highlighting the effect of the black tights outfit paired with shiny black leather shoes. The patent leather shoes are actually a standout piece in this ensemble; light hitting the shoe surface creates clear reflections, anchoring the weight of the dark coat above so the feet aren't overwhelmed by the heavy garment.

The second picture, taken while kneeling on the floor, offers a completely different feel. This posture is a bit more lively; I gently pinched the edge of the skirt, perfectly displaying the layer of white lace beneath the hem. The thighs are wrapped in black tights, presenting a natural matte finish under the light. The overall mood of this outfit doesn't rely on overly exaggerated expressions or poses—a natural posture is more than enough. Before putting on this costume, I repeatedly adjusted the direction of the bowtie and the placement of the beret. Sitting on top of thick, light golden hair, the beret easily gets pushed up, so it required internal hairpins for security. The black hat forms a sharp color contrast with the light hair, drawing the visual focal point firmly to the head.

Another detail I'd like to share about this fitting is that this kind of outfit—relatively casual yet possessing strong anime characteristics—greatly tests accessory pairing when worn. Without the red bowtie on the black dress, the look might seem overly dreary. The golden circular ornament on the bowtie places a bright focal point right within that large block of color, acting as the perfect finishing touch. Whenever I try on this style of clothing, I pay close attention to overall color balance. Although the main body is black, incorporating the white collar trim, red bowtie, gold eyes, and blonde hair creates a rich and harmonious palette.

I'm very satisfied with this fitting because it achieves remarkable character accuracy while maintaining great comfort. The fabric isn't so thick as to restrict movement, and the hemline length perfectly reveals leg contours. Overall, this fitting allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the character, enabling me to portray her personality more calmly during my next formal outdoor shoot. The entire process was filled with the joy of faithful reproduction, serving as my unique way of conversing with the character as a player.
