When digging up these photos, I happened to notice someone asking in a discussion thread whether anyone still did Love Live! cosplay in 2023. Seeing that question brought up mixed emotions—unconsciously, ten whole years have passed since the anime aired. Having just found this Little devil cosplay set of Nico while organizing my hard drive a couple of days ago, I decided to compile it properly as a visual archive of that original passion.

Selecting the Little devil theme back then was largely because this outfit perfectly matched Yazawa Nico's tsundere yet cute, playful personality. Styling details were quite extensive. The red skirt below was printed with large floral motifs; its voluminous layered hem paired with black fishnet stockings achieved balanced visual weight. The small devil wings on the back were equally charming, with pink character prints on one wing. Holding the red-and-black trident prop instantly grounded the character portrayal.

During the shoot, the venue was quite crowded, making background and lighting difficult to control. To avoid cluttered frames, the photographer selected several low angles and close-up perspectives. Metallic studded necklaces and rings were color-coordinated to avoid stealing focus. Placing hair accessories requires precise angles; adjusting twin tail height and placement multiple times ensured a symmetrical, natural front view. When shooting inside large exhibition halls, light angles are critical—if top lighting is too harsh, facial contours and red contacts lose impact, requiring ambient surroundings and bounce light for balance. Though better works will come in the future, this Little devil cosplay of Nico remains a deeply special memory in my cosplay journey.
