A full hour spent attempting to tame the vampire fangs ended in utter defeat. The core objective of this Makeup test was to fully capture Remilia's Vampire aura—menacing yet subtly childlike—only for the pair of canine props to become the greatest hurdle. I tested dental putty, double-sided tape, and various adhesives, yet none managed to anchor securely to my teeth; they either popped loose upon opening my mouth or sat at an awkward angle that caused lisps while speaking. Ultimately, I had to precariously hold them between my teeth solely for the split-second shutter snaps, spitting them out immediately afterward. For the ice-blue wig, I reshaped the curls using a curling iron; the canon classical spiral ringlets tend to droop and straighten under ambient wind if styled purely with heat, so I applied a layer of setting spray beforehand, while trimming the bangs and face-framing sidelocks to sculpt a sleeker facial contour. In terms of cosmetics, the red contact lenses served as the absolute soul of the look; to avoid harsh isolation of the lenses, the eye makeup was deepened with rich reddish-brown gradients, winging upward at the outer corners, which, combined with blood-red lipstick against pale porcelain foundation, produced striking visual intensity. The base makeup was kept intentionally matte to avoid washing out under studio flashes. The wardrobe featured a Gothic style black-and-red lace capelet and an ornate mob cap; the ruby brooch at the chest was not a premade stock piece but hand-sewn by myself, complemented by a white lace underlayer for depth, with the jacquard fabric emitting a subtle sheen under strobe lights. Although the imperfect denture fit left a lingering regret, the overarching atmosphere was deeply gratifying. A Makeup test is inherently an iterative journey of trial and error; this setback provided fresh inspiration, and next time I will likely experiment with clear retainer trays or custom soft silicone fittings. The backdrop was kept clean with minimalist curtains and walls, lit by alternating warm and cool lights to accentuate the contrast between blue hair and crimson eyes, preventing flat framing. The vivid crimson of the prop apple echoed the chromatic palette, injecting a playful theatrical touch. The delicate lace trims along the garments required cautious wear to prevent snags. To evoke aristocratic nobility, the high-necked lace collar felt slightly suffocating, yet enduring it was essential for visual impact. Refining this makeup took twice the usual time due to repeatedly recalibrating the eye shape to flatter the crimson lenses. Every Makeup test feels like a tactical duel with the character; obsessive wrestling over tiny nuances is grueling, yet seeing the completed frames makes all that restless turmoil entirely worthwhile.
