Today's outdoor location shoot is the Arknights Necrass summer swimsuit version. The concept of this outfit is really challenging: a white bikini paired with a semi-transparent sheer gauze cover-up, overlaid with a black choker, arm guards, and leg straps, mixing out a unique summer combat feel. The silver-white wig plus the iconic black horns on top of the head still require attention regarding head weighting; I used quite a few hairpins during fixation to ensure the connection point between the wig and horns won't slip during movement. Such rigid props must be firmly secured outdoors.

The outdoor location was chosen by the outdoor pool. The light on such a bright sunny day is very harsh, so during shooting, I mainly had the photographer find a side-backlighting angle. The sunlight hitting the white gauze creates a subtle shimmer, which not only captures the texture of the gauze but also outlines the contours of the body. The pool water surface acted as a great reflector, making the shadows on the face softer. To match the character's demeanor, the eye makeup specially used blue-green colored contact lenses, paired with a slightly uptight eyeliner. Even wearing a cool swimsuit, the gaze must carry that aloof feeling.

The black staff prop in hand is actually quite heavy with a metal frame, requiring core exertion when holding it with one hand. Not only must the posture elegance be maintained, but the arm lines must also look good—shrugging shoulders due to weight must be strictly avoided. During shooting breaks, to avoid dirtying the clothes and cape, I had to stand carefully or lift the cape up. The materials of the costume vary greatly; the cotton bikini inner wear needs to be kept dry and neat, while the outer semi-transparent sheer gauze is very easy to snag, so special care is needed when wearing it. To make the sheer gauze present a floating state in the frame, my assistant kept fanning wind next to me during the shoot, capturing many shots before selecting the most natural moment.

The design of this swimsuit has a relatively high exposure of skin. To present a better visual effect, I intentionally did some waist and abdomen tightening actions before the shoot, and the collarbone and shoulder-neck lines were also emphasized through lighting. The addition of the black cape gives the whole look a stronger aura; walking with wind brings a heavy sense of oppression like an operator on a mission, but paired with the white swimsuit, it neutralizes the sexiness and coolness very well. Standing on the sandy ground makes it very easy to sink in, so the insteps must be kept taut to elongate the leg lines, and the black straps on the ankles will look tighter and more defined.

Necrass herself carries a sharp and mysterious temperament, so in action design, I tried to avoid overly sweet postures. Standing poses mostly adopted lowering the center of gravity and crossing legs, and arm movements were stretched as much as possible, utilizing the black mecha structure on the arms to increase visual tension. In full-body shots, I deliberately spread out the cape, matching the slightly raised hand gesture to create a contrasting feel of leisure and readiness for battle by the pool. Sometimes, to get a perfect gaze, it requires repeating many shots. Although it was very tiring, seeing the final photos made everything feel worth it—both the lighting and the texture presentation of the costume achieved the effect I wanted.
